Very nice! I love Neil Young's version as well.
a special person
God Bless Ian Tyson!
One of my favorites from MCC.
Lovely old tune, done well.
Terrific!
So sweet!
I didn't subscribe to your channel... Be A Man & release me from your childish fantasy
Very cool. I was at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival before, and it was great. I wanted to go to the Sunday show, but I was unable to get a ticket. Cheers! ✌️🇨🇦
This looks like it was awesome. I was at this festival before and it was great. You have such a diverse amount of great artists and bands here. I wanted to go to Sunday's show, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a ticket for it. Getting a ticket for the show on Sunday looks like it will be impossible, and it would be a miracle if it did happen. Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🇨🇦
Wrong park. It's at the ski club
Close every gig with Four Strong Winds
I am hoping to see Robert Plant and Allison Krause. A really good lineup here. Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🇨🇦
The only positive that came out of the COVID fiasco is that I learned of this song which I had never heard before. Thank you Mary.
Great song, great performance.
Fantastic, this guy is a huge talent!!!!
I am curious. This has been up for debate for years. Have you and Lee Roy Parnnell had a relationship secretly?. It seems these new songs kinda of say that. I love both of your music. Just curious....
What a Masterpiece. Neil Young said as a teen, he wore this out on a jukebox. Ian Tyson wrote it, and it’s fantastic here! Thank you.
I went to college in the early 1970s in Canada and I could hear Sylvia and Ian on the radio in the dorm and often students strumming and singing this very song. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Good job Mary~Thanks!
soo lovelly sweetie ,ive loved you all my years
Love love love. Absolutely love
I love when a brilliant songwriter pays tribute to another brilliant songwriter, favorites of mine, both
It's a privilege to experience the maturity of such a great artist. What a loving, solemn tribute to a great Ian and Sylvia song. I've seen you in concert, but this level of experiencing your feeling about a song is humbling. Thanks for inviting us into your home. BTW. I also grew up in NJ and I saw that same sad train you noted in Stones on the Road. I was 17 and stood by myself oddly. It seemed like more than just a train heading away into the distance. So much lost and so much to bring forth.
Great song, great voice, and great guitar picking. Love it.
I have to be honest, i was never a big fan of Mary Chapin. But she does a wonderful job with this song!
This harmony hog wants to sing backup
Great tune. Thank you. 😊
Wow that was nice.
I had forgotten how extraordinary MCC's voice is! Time hasn't weakened it at all!
Canadian County music at its best!
simply love her version. so much pain.
I love and admire Mary Chapin Carpenter
Lovely song!
... see and hear you hopefully in Salzburg in near future. Lg Wolfgang
Thank you very much, I love it.
This is the breakup song. It happens
Ohhh I love this so much, thank you Mary <3
A great Ian Tyson song sung by a great artist and songwriter in her own right. Beautiful rendering.
Another lovely welcome to the morning and day ahead--with great appreciation all the way from Princeton to Albemarle, ha.
so beautiful!
Wonderful old song, first heard ages ago from The Brothers Four and beautifully sung by this sweet, lovely lady: Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Last one that interested me was Warren Zevon in 2002. No desire to fight for optimal front stage seating.
Well done!
