I went to college in the early 1970s in Canada and I could hear Sylvia and Ian on the radio in the dorm and often students strumming and singing this very song. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

I also grew up in NJ and I saw that same sad train you noted in Stones on the Road. I was 17 and stood by myself oddly. It seemed like more than just a train heading away into the distance. So much lost and so much to bring forth.
