@@stewy_604 Usually the AT81EX for most of the year, and then I put a VE33S on for summer. I also really like the IRC JX8, but the AT81EX lasts longer.

It's a 2012 Beta Evo 300. I got mine used with low hours for 4K CAD. Good starter bike.

@@chadrides914 I don’t think any maintenance gets done here. Maybe a couple rocks rolled off here and there. Usually how it is for the upper trails, they get harder every year. Wanted less air so the tire would flatten and have more contact with the ground, but the tire was too stiff.

Every time I come here I think I'm going to have an easier time, but that is certainty not the case. I get spanked every time. Right, it's hard to tell what the original line was in some spots. The wear is evident when watching back old videos. That rock slab on LMS was almost completely covered with dirt... now it is fully exposed.

@@AlistairJohnClark There are some green trails there which would be easy. Most of the blue trails aren’t bad as well.

@@6at32off Super good, there is so many big obstacles I don’t even want to try.

@@twkdmtb I would look at if there is more trials or enduro riding areas where you are. Whichever has more is what I’d go with. All the skills you learn on a trials bike will transfer immediately to the bigger bike if you go that route on day. Both are crazy fun so can’t go wrong.

@@stanbarry That makes sense. I live pretty close to McNutt, Stave etc, I guess the real factor would be finding riding buddies that do one or the other.

@@twkdmtb Nice, you’re local. Plenty of riding for both here. There are memberships for McNutt and Vedder and they have Facebook pages. Pretty easy to find people to ride with through those.

This impact was interesting because it wasn't a front impact like you normally see, but rather one from the underside of the bar. I was in a wheelie and my bars came down on a rock. Neither full wraps or flags protect against this. That being said, I did look back at the footage frame by frame and I do think full wraps would have helped, just based on the shape of the rock. I maybe would have gotten away with just some bruising and swelling. Hard to be certain though.

I was thinking about getting hand guards like yours because they look way cooler, but I think I’m gonna stick with the ones I have

Always, I’ve had some pretty gnarly crashes and been totally fine. All my injuries have been on routine tracks not pushing hard. Also when I’m by myself 🤔
