Hey everybody! Am asking for prayer for our Lord to prepare the hearts and minds of my students and to bless my teaching as I embark on a new project (of obedience). Oct 1st I start teaching a weekly class for women and girls ,old enough to be interested, on the Book of Revelation. Classes will be held at our local library. And if you can recommend (or warn about) a portable, economical, classroom suitable projector as much under 200 bucks as possible. Would like remote control and bluetooth capability. Saying the Lord’s not going to come because He hasn’t come yet is like saying I’m not going to die because I haven’t died yet. It’s a once in a lifetime event! I’m looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face and spending eternity with Him!

Jesus, the garden and doubt. I see it differently. I believe the Bible tells us that Jesus prayed ‘if there is any other way’ so we would know there is no other way. He prayed it 3 times so we would have 3 witnesses, God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, and yes, God the Son. The Trinity was in agreement. Jesus was not outvoted. He agreed. He agreed before the foundations of the world. It’s the perfect, radical example of ‘swear to your own hurt and do it anyway’ Psalm 15:4. Just as asking from the cross, ‘why have You forsaken Me’ was not an indication that Jesus forgot why this was happening to Him, but that WE would know He was forsaken. Why was He scourged? It was so we would see it wasn’t a miracle that He survived but that we would see He couldn’t die. He couldn’t die because He was sinless. He couldn’t die until every last sin was laid on Him. Until, it was finished, paid in full. Until He was made sin for us so we could have His righteousness. You didn’t convince me that it’s ok to doubt. People (hamburgers), yes. But God, no. God said it, that settles it. Isn’t that what we used to say? Let’s not replace it with it’s ok to doubt God. God doesn’t lie. If we are doubting His word, we are listening to Satan’s lies. We are looking at ourselves and, like Peter, we are sinking. Hold fast, eyes on Jesus, leaves no room for doubt. Respectfully, Trish
