Whats Gaz up to
Великобритания
Добавлен 29 мар 2020
Welcome to Whats Gaz up to. This Channel hopefully documents what I'm getting up to, weather that’s out in my micro camper, walking, DIY, carpentry, general woodworking, or life in general. This way my kids and grandkids can keep an eye on me 😁
Day 1 on Skye Fairy Pools and more 😁
I'm spending the week travelling around the Isle of Skye in my lovely little micro-camper. This is Day 1 of exploring and the day starts in a lay-by overlooking Loch Ainort then off to Sligachan old bridge and waterfall.
The next stop is the Fairy Pools and on to Talisker Bay and finally parking up for the night at Carbost marina for the night
Hope you enjoy this one
Thanks for watching
Take care and stay safe 😁

@@elizabethpugo1991 Isle of Skye you can’t beat it 👍
Where about?
@@MassiN84_ Dunvegan castle on the isle of sky
I would have taken the crown off altogether but it fine great job
Thanks for the memories. It's a real drag up this path. Stunning scenery.
When working with horn or bone, always use a mask. There's some nasty pathogens in bone.
Hello buddy hope your doing ok great vids of the festival and was great to meet you buddy and hope to see you in the future take care buddy all the best from us all. ❤
The times i have ran up and walked this mountain, sadly now its only gonna be a walk
Beautiful video
Mate i see vans all day long on a field
That is a nice piece of Roe deer antler .
You didn't know that this was a deer antler 😂😂😂😂??? I should add well done with stick really good 👍👍👍
Nope I was told it was rams horn 🤯🤣
@@whatsgazupto someone is taking the mick
Indeed!
Lovely video!
Beautiful
Awesome job - well done! :)
Great vid keep it up!
Jo get a steel bar or a double ended screw
Use smaller bit first and yes its doled and smells
I knew about the ash trick, but also burning hotter seems to help to reduce the deposits
That area that you were trying to flatten with the chisel , is in reality Skull bone , & that my friend is why it was so resistant to that tool !!!
Great job, Gaz. Glad to see you protected the carpet first! 👍🏼 (I'd have worn gloves though - can't stand dirt up my nails! 😆🤣)
I make sticks and that looks just fine to me.
hi mate, thanks for the video. Nice an clear info. good audio. top drawer stuff.
Scotland, a plateau that holds the natural beauty of mountains and seas. I really like Scottish nature
Good video thank you. I climbed snowdon july 2019. Hottest day of the year. Its beautiful up there one of my favourite mountains. Really enjoyed watching this video.

Great video. New to your channel, i assume you made the kitchen unit yourself? How high is it? --Do you have a video of making it? Thanks.
Thanks for joining 👍 the unit stands at 560mm high unfortunately I built it before I started doing the videos 😁 I think that was version 2 and I’m on about version 7 now 👍 it’s constantly evolving 😁
Thanks for quick reply Gaz. Really like your well thought out van layout. Having zero conversion skills myself, it's nice to see someone explain their conversion in layman's terms.@@whatsgazupto
Can’t wait booked the ferry last night setting off 4am Saturday 👍
Warning you now mate......you'll not want to come back! 😮👌🏻
Great Video, i walked up and down this way Twice in the 1980s, been up on Train 3 ir 4 times since an Miners track way. Can Never resist watching progs on TV about Snowdon or RUclips
Hi, great video. What’s the name of this car park please?
Thanks 😁 the car park is the Llanberis railway car park 👍
Thankyou so much
Ayup Gaz that Morris gypsy traveller conversion is been converted at bottom of our street on springcroft I've watched it from the start all hand built by the man what an achievement 👏👏👏
You’re not kidding it’s a right piece of work 👍 I mean just having that idea alone, I would never have thought of that 😁 and they are a really nice couple 👍👍 thanks for watching the video 😁
Nice video mate. The car park was already full when we arrived at 6am so had to drive 2 miles away, park at the side of the road and walk back 2 miles before we could even start Snowdon. Ended up doing the Miners Track where the 2nd half is much tougher. We may have taken a wrong turn but we were scrambling for a good 300 feet or more. With hindsight we should have done the Llanberis route as much more straight forward, but all-round it was a bit underwhelming scenery-wise, compared to some Scottish peaks, but heyho, it all goes down under experience 👍
I’m aiming for Glen Nevis for my next one I think 🤔 I did Snowdon out of season so had the car park almost to myself 👍
@@whatsgazupto Pick the time of year and weather conditions carefully mate. Don't take any chances, as things can change rapidly up there. Always best to abort and try again another day. On a good day, it feels like heaven or what I imagine heaven to be. ATB 👍
Yeah you took a wrong turn. No official scrambling required for miners but last 3rd definitely can be considered 'steep'
Nice work. This type of work is just a fact of life living in a wet climate like the U.K. What type of primer did you use? Was it etch primer or some type of anti-rust zinc primer?
I used zinc primer it’s supposed to help stop the rust returning 👍
@@whatsgazupto that’s what I used on my sills too. I sprayed some cavity wax inside as well - horrible job!
@@richardhunt809 your not kidding it’s horrible stuff 👍
Did you forget to put on the filler ?
Thought about it but for what I needed l didn’t think it was worth it 🥴 plus I was on a tight schedule to get it done 👍😁
did you have to wash were u put rust remedy before primer
No the instructions said to clean the rust as well as you can paint the rust remedy on let it dry then prime it 👍 I used the zinc primer 😁
@@whatsgazupto so u can prime straight on top of it without washing it?
@@iankennedy1441 yes mate as soon as it’s dry 👍👍
No because I’d cleaned all the rust up first I wiped it down with a damp cloth let it dry then primed it 👍
pour some oil in your door panels to stop the bottom of rusting out
I’ve put wax oil in every hole and crevice I can find 😁😁
@@whatsgazupto I meant the car 😁
Interesting video 🚐☕️☕️👍🏼🏴🌈🙏🏼💙❤️💙❤️
Beltin video 👍
Very good video. Have you ever tried using old sump oil on the underneath , as a rust prevention . I do a it works better than undersill.
Not tried that one I used to use it years ago but to be honest I’d forgotten about it until you mentioned it cheers 👍👍
Id be more worried about it sounding like a bag of hammers.
Hi just watched your videos and it was epic!! This is exactly I was looking for that some one shows where to park and where the path to go to the top starts from...I have got lots of information from your video and I hope soon I will plan my trip also. Oh BTW I have subscribed you!!
Thanks 😀 I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍 it is a stunning walk I will be going back to walk the other paths 👍
Nice wee van, good job well done! Nice to see people taking care of their vehicles and doing a bit of work themselves. Fair play to you! 🙂
nice paint job gaz good little van the connect my 54 plate has very little rust and is still going strong
Thank you very much for sharing. Great Video!
Nice weather for it though mate! 😁👌🏻
Why did you not just hook the fuel pipe up to the return diesel pipe or use the van tank as the feed. Instead of drilling the door, nice job though. 👍🏻
I run it on red diesel so it’s a lot cheaper from my supplier 👍
Beautiful ❤️
Good Video
