I cut firewood in several different places. I had a great neighbor who let me cut some in the edge of his yard!!
I still prefer splitting using the maul. I enjoy that type of exercise.
I enjoy it better too, but I couldn’t get this type of wood to split.

Id suggest getting some pallets to stack on. Leaving wood on the ground will start to rot pretty quick.
