I think there's some important clarification about the "concentration muscle" metaphor that needs to happen. Your body is there to glorify God, including all the physical muscles. When your muscles hurt, is that the devil trying to stop you from using your muscles in order to separate you from God? Absolutely not. The pain is good and important feedback that helps you to take care of your muscles, and it tells you about your littleness in the sight of God because it tells you about your limits. Does the devil use that pain in order to tempt you to give up and despair? All the time. But that doesn't mean pain is always from the devil and you should always ignore it, that would be extremely unhealthy, it would cause you to get injured, and then you would have a bigger problem. Same goes for the "concentration muscle" and mental effort. When you face exhaustion and a mental brick wall in response to trying to exercise your concentration muscle, that is your brain giving you feedback which is meant to help keep you healthy. It's not a sign of the devil planting trick thoughts in your brain, it's a sign that your muscle is weak, nothing more, nothing less, and weak muscles can absolutely be pleasing to God. Look at people with mental disabilities. Are their mental "muscles" strong like God's? No. Are they pleasing to God, whose strength is made perfect in weakness? Absolutely. It's not good if you don't USE your brain, but sometimes in order to get the most out of your brain you have to coddle it and be really attentive to signals that tell you how it's coping. You need to rest, as much as necessary. If you can only pray 1 Our Father 1 Hail Mary, but in order gather the strength to pray it you rest in God's presence while doing restful activities for hours and hours? And listen to what your doctors and therapists say? And take your medication? That is using your small brain to its fullest potential, which is extremely pleasing to God. If you take that feeling of mental fatigue as a temptation from the devil and you ignore it? and push yourself to the absolute limit of exhaustion but you still don't pray enough to make you feel secure, and you feel like the devil's winning? That's probably what the devil was hoping would happen. If you have ADHD that means a few of your mental "muscles" are not fully developed. Just like how some people might have an underdeveloped leg and need crutches for life. Just like how Jesus came to us as a helpless baby who needed help with absolutely everything. ADHD is a developmental delay, part of your brain was a few years behind when it stopped developing. So part of your brain is just as old as the child Jesus when He accidentally made Mary and Joseph frantic for 3 days by being exactly who He is in the eyes of His Father, and teaching in His Father's house. People with underdeveloped mental muscles can still imitate Our Lord, you just have to be willing to be little before the Father, and be obedient to people who love you and are stronger and wiser than you, just like Jesus was obedient to Mary and Joseph after they found Him.
I cried and cried over this one I feel foy and happy yet so humble so unworthy. I tried to look in our Lords loving eyes and saw love , kindness and still felt so beyond worthy. I need to be a Mary, and not worry so much I know My Lord Jesus will take care of everything. Jesus I love you, Mary I love you. save souls.
What a beautiful journey Fr takes on! 🙏
Please, pray for my son Homer Hernandez. He is completely lost, and struggling with mental health. In 2015 or so he was diagnose bipolar, he started heavy drinking, all types of drugs use, etc. By 2017 he was diagnose schizophrenia. It is 2025 and, I just feel sorry for him, and I can not do nothing for him. I have ofered 7 Masses for him, and asking friends, and coworkers to pray for him. Thank you. God bless you all. I personally have had never in my entire life drink or smoke or do drugs. I do not even like to take tylenol because it has alcohol.
Father Mark-Mary, You have a very calming and peaceful voice, perfect for this Rosary In A Year podcast. Thank you for bringing this most important rosary podcast to us.
I’ve emailed multiple times a request for the guide, but no response.
Did my BIY and CIAY past 2 years. Wanted to redo my BIY and started it again on 1st Jan. But I found this today, got to catch up, I missed like 5 days already… 😢.
It’s only been six days and it’s been amazing! I wonder what our Lord and our blessed Mother have in store for us 🥰 Thank you so much Father Mark Mary for guiding us on this journey! Poco a poco vamos a llegar 🙌
❤
Day 6 so grateful❤🙏🏽
Is there some way I can get the Prayer plan another way other than email? I have put my request several times and never got it. Unless, I don't need it. Thoughts, welcome. Thank you.
Father at the end of each day you say POCO- POCO . What does that mean?
I wondered the same thing so I looked it up and will share now! poco a poco /pō′kō ä pō′kō/ adverb Little by little; gradually. Used chiefly as a direction. Little by little; gradually.
Could we pray one decade of the rosary and do less guided meditation? Just a thought, and thanks 🙏
Thank you Fr Mark Mary I am enjoying each moment and each reflection.
0:54 “In a section on prayer the catechism of the Catholic Church paragraph 27:25 says prayer is both a gift of Grace and a determined response on our part it always presupposes effort the great figures of Prayer of the old Covenant before Christ as well as the mother of God the Saints and he himself all teach us this prayer is a battle and against whom against ourselves and against the wiles of the tempter who does all he can to turn man away from prayer away from Union with God so how do prayer battle against ourselves in part there's just always something that's going to feel more urgent easier or be more interesting to do than to pray and a fruit of us having a common Fallen human nature is that we have this internal attraction this internal inertia towards the path of least resistance and least effort but my friends this is just NOT THE PATH TO GOD and so like choosing another path like choosing the harder path choosing the graced path of prayer it's going to be a struggle t's going to be a battle within ourselves it's going to cost us” #PathOfLeastResistance is not the algorithm that leads to GOD! ✝️
Thank you Father. This is awesome.
❤The battle belongs to the Lord...trust Him & say yes...to the rosary❤✅️
Please pray for me, I struggle with so many things and I just feel so overwhelmed sometimes. I would appreciate anyone's prayers so much for guidance and peace. Thank you :)
You are not alone. I go through that too though I know it's not reality, most of it is in my head which makes it harder to deal with. St least real problems can be solved. Said an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and a Glory Be for you, adding the Fatima prayer and Memorare too. Stay strong, all this will pass one day. This world is only temporary. I also ask that you pray for me too and for all others who struggle. God bless and keep you safe. Take care.
I've recently gotten my very first job and to say that it was stressful is an understatement. So many unresolved issues from the past, resurfacing at the most inconvenient times... This meditation broke and healed me at the same time.😢😇
Thank you so much, Fr. Mark-Mary, for allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you in these presentations. This has gifted me and others so much!
Day 6 Done Praise God.
... yet only just beginning :)
Amen.
Prayer is a vital necessity! 🙏 Thank you, Fr. Mark Mary for this beautiful teaching on prayer!
⚔️✨✝️ "You will have to Fight Many Battles, but You will WIN The War Before The Blessed Sacrament" -Ven. Fulton J. Sheen

Happy birthday

Day 6 ✅️ Good work, Team! Let's win this war together with prayers! Let's goooo!!!🎉
Day 6. Jan 6, 2025. BIAY, CIAY, RIAY.
I have mixed feelings about the Rosary being a weapon, although I am glad it is a weapon against evil. The person I used to be, when I was working at a job that was very stressful and clickish and full of back-stabbing, would have used the Rosary as a weapon against the people who were constantly throwing obstacles in my path. Thank goodness I did not do that; no, thank the Holy Spirit for letting me know (in my feelings) that I better not do that; that my political fait in my department was in God's hands so leave it to Him. I am finally retired, so that stressor is out of my life. It is so important, I think, to emphasize not using the Rosary as a weapon against individual people, but against the "evil spirits who prowl across the world seeking the ruin of souls).
👍
Thank you ❤
Thank you Father Mark Mary.
Thank you Father God 🙏🏻 Thank you Lord Jesus 🙏🏻 Thank you Mama Mary 🙏🏻
Thank you Father Mark Mary…. for the wonderful work that you put in for us all the people to see the light and shine of our lives that we need prayers.❤❤❤.🙏🙏🙏.
Thank you Father once again for your instructions now on Day 6. Let us all take up our "spiritual weapon" and pray for everyone!!!
Thankyou appa❤️🤌
I’m very disappointed in this series and your Facebook group. I asked a question explaining how these beginning videos apply to the Rosary. I am very confused. However even after 3 days my question still hasn’t been approved nor answered. I thought the group would be support for those of us new to the rosary. Maybe I’ll get a response here.
Hello! I had no idea what to expect with this podcast. I thought we would be saying the rosary and then talking a little bit about it. Honestly, it sounded like it would be a little boring. But I decided to give it a try. I do not particularly like meditation prayer which is what we did for the first 3 days. It feels very uncomfortable to my logical brain but I will continue with it because it's a chance to grow and learn. Sorry your facebook question wasn't answered. This is an entirely different group with a different vibe. I prefer youtube comments to facebook. The Rosary isn't just a string of 50 prayers (although it can feel like that) we are supposed to meditate on the mysteries and go deeply into the gospel mysteries and the life of Jesus. The Rosary has been called "the Gospel on a string"... I believe we will get there over the next 365 days and we are learning new ways to think about Jesus and Mary. I think you should give it some time. The easiest way to pray the Rosary if you are new to it is to just google "Rosary Monday" etc. and you can watch a 15 minute you tube video of others singing and/or praying the Rosary while you are going about your day. This podcast is going to be different and teach how to bring us deeper into it. Hope to see you around in the future :)
I did not know what to expect either; however, I love it. Fr Mark Mary is teaching yus to get in the perfect place for prayer.
@@carolynalameida709 I’m sorry but it has only made me want to just go back to doing the rosary they way I was! I was so looking forward to this series and learning something new. But it has only discouraged me and I’m reluctant to click on the next video.
@@rogalaphotography Well, it is your choice. Do what works for you!
I wanted to thank you for videos to follow praying because I'm profoundly deaf so I can't listen to Apple Podcasts. Thank you! God bless you.
Question?? Do we pray the rosary in addition to each day's podcast?
Of course!! Every day!! :)
Let's pick up our spiritual weapon!
❤❤❤
God bless you my brothers and sisters
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
Day 6. Will you be back tomorrow?
🙏🙏
I almost stopped to pray due to many circumstances and happenings in my life ..I was looking for something concrete to restart my spiritual journey ..I’m grateful to our Lord that He directed me to this podcast..thank you dear father..God bless everyone 🙏
Thank you, Fr Mark Mary
Prayer is a battle for me :- * I tend to struggle to focus, my mind super active and I need Holy Spirit to bring me back to my prayers * Prayers is my supply line, prayers nourish my spiritual life. When my spiritual life is ok, i felt at peace and so my physical life is well too * Prayers is necessary to keep me connected with God 🙏 Father please bless my prayers and help me to be focus on my prayers, my life line with You My Lord and My God I Trust In You 🙏
I have several clinical diagnoses with mental illnesses and I have to work extra hard to pray without negativity coming in. Please pray for the mentally and psychological I'll as we struggle with negativity. And pray for those who support us as they try to understand what makes us work.
That's such a good and timely reminder. thank you, my sister in Christ. I will be praying for you and all who struggle especially with negative thinking. A small suggestion, whenever a negative thought enters your head during prayer, pause, breath in "Jesus loves me as I am", breath out "I am a beloved child of God", then resume your prayer. Do it as many times as you need. Eventually you will find the thoughts lessen as you combat the lies of your own mind, and the lies of the evil one. God bless.
