This is gonna be a lot to read so apologies in advance. While Hailey of course didn’t have the best season last season, let’s please not make this season and use her name to almost drag and shade LSU because a lot of these posts have been seemingly a bit shady towards them. LSU received hate last year over that national championship because some people can’t stand to see a predominantly black team beat a white team, and I’m willing to bet that LSU haters needed a reason to defend their hatred towards them so they used Hailey, and still use her. The problem wasn’t solely Kim Mulkey, it was also Hailey in a way because she was the one who transferred because she wanted to expand her abilities which maybe a point guard wasn’t the best choice but….she put herself out there and got out of her comfort zone which not too many female basketball players can say they have. Not even just that but it was also the program which I’m pretty sure existed at LSU before Mulkey started coaching the team. While everyone can have their opinions on the teams….nobody should be using anyone’s name especially Hailey’s name to try and create drama and shade especially when Hailey herself isn’t that type of person. Despite how last season went, she and the team still love and support each other which is saying a lot. If Hailey is still able to love and support her former teammates despite how last season went, we all should be able to respect that and not try to create any shade and drama around it. Last season ended months ago, it’s time to move on….”rediscovering her love for basketball” is a stretch because so many basketball players and athletes in general have gone through, are about to go through, and are currently going through rough patches in their careers….that’s normal, that’s gonna happen. Let’s not make it seem like after last season Hailey never wanted to play basketball again because of LSU because that’s not cool….yes her mental health did get impacted but that would’ve happened regardless not even because of the season but because of how hateful people have been to her in regards to the CC drama stemming from last year which includes Hailey because that technically started with Louisville vs Iowa.
