Definitely wasted potential, she deserved a bad ass fight. If anything, they should have had her fight someone in the leaf village during the “pain attacks Konoha” arc to show off more of her skills and individual story.

My favorite girl.

One of those characters for me that left a disproportionate impact despite her low screen time. Badass fight, probably my favorite in the series, sad death. Probably the saddest in the series for me because I spoiled Jiraya's, Neji's was not really that impactful, and Obito's was more peaceful than sad. Also litteraly forgot Asuma's for a second there so I guess that one is also not that important to me. Anyway, point is, great character, even if underutilised

No other kunoichi in the series would be able to force Obito to use Izanagi the way Konan did. She demonstrates why she is one of the most intelligent Akatsuki members and she is badass using her versatile Paper Ninjutsu. Konan is heavily underrated.

This music is perfect. Konan....honestly my first anime crush from back in the day. When she and Jiraiya both passed in the Pain arch, I had to stop watching for a brief moment. Her character was so underrated and beautiful as far as supporting characters. She would have amazing potential to become like an older sister/aunt to Naruto, in my opinion. The fact she was making a counter play to Obito's Kamui mid battle and he forcing him to use a cheat code, says a lot on how powerful she is/was. Rest in peace, my angel.
