No! Give the money to buy it then! Its easy to say it for you because you are American, you live in your own world! Travel out of America, live somewhere else for once! Music doesnt work the same way in every country, because money!
Sorry that you feel you don't have the same possibilities that I have. Not all "Americans" come from money. That's still not an excuse to use stolen software.
I'm afraid the 140 is part of the name of the last plugin, a famous reverb. So it comes with a DAW and four plugins.
Awesome Biz Tips, thanks! :)
Glad you like!

Agree with everything you said in this video. Also, another important ingredient to the whole picture is the master digital word clock. The clock is just as important as the converter when it comes to clarity and jitter free recording.
Yes.I agree. But most of us out here only rely on clock built into our interface.
Your website lists exactly what the other studio websites list. I don’t see the problem. The layout may be different but they list the same exact thing as you. “We are not selling the gear” then proceeds to show the gear pics on the home page…….ok.
Yes. But my gear list is not on my main page, (above the fold), if you will. If you want to see my gear list you have to go look at it. Most clients don't care about the "Gear". They care about what you can "Do" for them. The only people that look for the gear, are people like me, engineers.
I actually really like the mics sound and where it puts it
Hey, Thanks! I am going to use it on this record that we are producing right now. I'm going to share the whole process as the artist will allow. Stay tuned!

Ehhh, sounds muffled. Thanks anyhow.
I agree. Not the best recorded guitar, right? I need to do another one of these with the LA4. It's a really cool piece of gear and this example didn't really show what it can do.

Happy New Year! 🥂
I have been thinking about getting this console. Do you still stand by your recommendation to stay away from it? Are you saying the issue is poor build quality?
I can say that the problem with Audient was their US Representative, at the time (Not a nice person to deal with) - They have since replaced that person with someone new. He actually reached out to me recently and asked to come by for a visit. The main reason I went with the ASP4816 was because of the personal touch of dealing with real people while making my decision. One of the owners was in town for the NAMM show and he came by to hang out in my studio for an afternoon. This is our second ASP4816 as the first one had run in with a bottle of water by a careless client. Since making this video, I have found the problem and fixed it. So far, things are working as they should. Hopefully Audient has seen this video and will fix the design flaw so this problem doesn't present itself to others. The Audient 4816 is a great sounding console for the price. If you have the budget, an alternative could be the SSL Origin (about double the price of the 4816). Hope this helps! Let us know what you decide. If you are local and want to come check out our 4816, reach out.
The peakstop is actually an aggressive limiter that almost functions like a saturator

dude has never had to struggle
Never had to struggle? Do you mean me? There is no excuse to steal your tools. You work with what you got until you can afford better. I still have my first microphone. I keep it to remember where I came from. (And, I still use it sometimes.) If you are interested, check out my studio website to see where I'm from and how I got here. esaudio.com

Question: what is the better option when purchasing a 1081? Neve or AMS? I am aware that Neve is a subsidiary or AMS, but I do see both options, so I'm asking is there any differences between the units?
I'm not sure of any difference. My 10801's are original AMS Neve built in 1972. As far as I can tell from doing a search, they newer models are the same circuit. But, the actual components are probably different today. One might say the use of "lead" solder could affect sound quality. But who knows. If you are in an area that has a rental house. Maybe rent both and hear them for yourself. Or, Maybe I can do that for you. I'll rent a newer 1081 and do a compare video. That sounds like fun.
I've never liked the Pre's on the avalon!! I thought it was just me haha. How do you like the EQ's on the Audient? I'm trying to choose between the ASP and XL desk
I looked at both as well when deciding on the ASP4816 console. I like the Audient chain better than the XL in that it "Sounds" like a Neve but routes like an SSL. The EQ's are very much SSL style.Plus, the built in Master Bus compressor is Very Much SSL. The only thing I would suggest is if you do go with the ASP4816, get the Heritage edition. That came out a few years after we got our ASP4816. If we get another console, I will go with the Heritage Edition.
@@learnprorecording dude thanks so much! very helpful! I'm going to pull the trigger on the ASPHE!
@@officialstryfe Awesome! Let me know what you think. I'm thinking about upgrading mine next year to the HE.
Why are you going to update to the heritage edition? You have enough outboard gear to get what heritage edition gives you. Am I wrong? Would be grate to see a full review on the console
@ I will put that on the list of reviews, for sure.
These you should buy, i use mine to prop the door open when its hot.
We are talking about 'Budget" monitors. Of all the ones I mentioned in the video, the Kali Audio are probably the best. Are there better monitors out there? Of course, but for the price, the Kali's are the ones.
Man, you just crushed me. I use my Avalon 737 for bass and lead guitars. I don't use it for vocals, because I can't sing. I had two for stereo recording, but sold one to buy another keyboard.
Yup. The EQ and Compressor are okay. I've got better preamps when it comes to vocals.
Hello, I have the 2-1176 also. What's the difference between the hardware version of the UAD 1176 and UAD 2-1176, besides one being stereo ? Are they basically the same ?
Yes, they are essentially the same circuitry. The advantage of the 2-1776 is the "Stereo Link" switch. That allows control of two channels with the one set of knobs. They also act independently in dual mono mode. The biggest difference is the rotary controls instead of push buttons.
