    not very good if you have to assist the workpiece in and out of machine.

      too much sawdust comes out and blocks the exit and then it gets stuck between the roller that pushes and the one stops for a moment, enough to leave a small mark, so if you give it a little help, it does the job, and in the end, when you take it out, you pull it a little and squeeze down for the snap that occurs at the end, it can be completely smooth that ticknes planner is the best that is offered on the market in the EU! in terms of price and quality, a great ratio!

    Why do you keep using the ladder on each run ?

    • @flobrka
      @flobrka Год назад

      so it's not necessary, but if you look at each cut, we used a ladder to get one side of the cut straight, because for some reason the undercut was at the end, and as we pushed too much, we got a slightly twisted first cut, so then we used a ladder on each cut to get as straight cuts as possible

    • @NathanVdV

      metal on metal slides also much better than metal on wood. less friction less harder to push (a winch would be my first purchase anyways).

    • @flobrka
      @flobrka Год назад

      @@NathanVdV Yes, the winch is a good thing, I agree, we have it mounted up there, but when the logs are so wide, it's a little easier when there are two of us, I don't know why, but it's easier for the chainsaw to have a nice constant cut and not struggle at low revs

  • @alabamamanus1

    I'm going to order one in a few months to cut a HUGE Live Oak. The butt is 54in and the crown is 79in. It has 3 leaders and Ill have to cut one them off on my first cut in order to level the log for the rest of the cuts. My question is, how do I make my first cut level if the log is really "wavy" with the butt flare and the 3rd leader? Do you guys put shims under the ladder to make it level?

    • @flobrka
      @flobrka Год назад

      An interesting example of oak :D that's exactly how it is and everything is screwed together so that it cannot move, so every 10"-20" or where the ladder is very high in the air, that's where it's needed to shims under ladder and screwed ;)
