When you left Granite and went straight you could have stopped at the old power house that generated power for some of the mines in the area and not far from there you would have seen the old wooden pipe line that supplied the water to the power house from Olive lake
Thanks for the info, next time we're in the area we will have to check that out! When we came through everything was closed so I could not ask any locals or anything.

I lost the music for the drone video somehow😢
I can never get over how archaeology thousands of years old is buried several feet or more under the existing surface level. It's been proven that the archaeology doesn't "sink" down, but is covered by thousands of years of decaying vegetation that eventually becomes the "dirt" that we see today. When a plant the size of a small shrub is reduced over time to just a few grams of dirt, it puts into perspective how many plants have lived and died at this very spot! Of course blowing dirt helps fill in the low places, but most of it is "locally produced."
Crazy huh, not sure what your referring to as sunk? I believe most materials were relocated/repurposed by other people... Not an archeologist 😅. Thank you so much for commenting and watching❤
@@Bucksandkids Sorry, I should've clarified. I'm not talking about the region in the video, I'm talking about places like Europe, Central and South America. In Europe they're digging down several meters just to locate the ruins of ancient civilizations. In Central and South America they're removing dirt layers from what they thought was small mountains that were actually Aztec ruins just covered over. Those Aztec ruins were made of heavy stone, but they didn't sink underground, they were covered up by layers upon layers of decayed vegetation, which turned into dirt!
