      Sorry we never done the head got good on Tundra nor recommend doing it. What we always done is find a low mile engine and replace it with it. Those engines are extremely in technologically advanced in America today. I don’t think there’s anybody prepared to deal with such technology.

      @thehydraulicspecialist3176 huh so your saying If a head gasket goes out on a tundra.You don't recommend changing it? Just buy a new engine. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.. Wonder how many people you guys have straight robbed from. A gasket kit is only 40-60bucks depending on where you get it from

    The original bump stop also aligns the U-Bolts which is why the recommendation is to simply cut off the rubber bump stop and leave the oem bracket in place. U-bolts as a professional practice should be replaced when loosened as they are normally torque to yield and do stretch. I know not everyone does this but many shops I have worked in mandate replacement of U-bolts because of the stretch. Just an observation fellas 😊.

    Im having intermittent lock up, i found broken wires on an actuaor fixed them it works for a little while then started acting up again. Checked wnd my wiring is still repaired. Is it just coincidence that the wire was breaking and my actuator is also going out? Wiring looks good but really hard to tell. I noticed your wiring got messed up and caused 32-04 and thats the only code i have. Some days it works for a little bit, i can turn it off wait 15-20 minutes and itll work again. Some days it wont even unlock at all

    The white smoke? Check the compression. If the compression is OK, then have the injectors checked. Either you have low compression or a stuck injector or two. If the coolant is low, you could have a coolant leak in a cylinder. Sometimes from a pinhole through the cylinder or from a cracked head or failed head gasket. I think it is a stuck injector.

    • @TheSpecialist_1
      @TheSpecialist_1 5 месяцев назад

      On this particular Vanguard, both were aluminum rods with steel end caps. We dont have a lot of these engines come through so i can’t say that all engines are the same, but it could be possible in certain applications that either the intake or exhaust side could have a different material of push rod. As long as you read and follow the service manual on valve adjustment, you should be ok.

  • @213BRANDONP
    @213BRANDONP 5 месяцев назад

    Is this common? I recently replaced a vanguard 21 out of a truckmount carpet machine it has been a nightmare after installing it ran fine for a couple weeks than started making noise around the balancer i pulled it apart and the stator bolts all had vibrated loose till they hit the balancer ended up bending all four and all four broke off during removal anyway fixed all that it ran good for a couple months now its misfiring i mean damn its only 6 months old and I feel like using it as a boat anchor

    • @jdcatsanchez
      @jdcatsanchez 5 месяцев назад

      yes sir we found a few to have the wrong lash or valve play you can google the right gap.

    • @TheSpecialist_1
      @TheSpecialist_1 5 месяцев назад

      This is not very common. It can possibly happen if the rocker arm adjustments are not torqued properly, and eventually loosen and lose adjustment. In this case, i used a bit of thread locker on the rocker arm adjustment nuts so that they wouldn’t back off. Have not seen this unit back in for this problem since

      @thehydraulicspecialist3176 *update Towed my car out of the dealership to a Toyota specialist, he ran test on my car for about 4 days and concluded that I did not have any coolant leaking into my cylinder, he said absolutely No evidence. Changed all my spark plugs and the Coil on cylinder 8. Parts ,Labor, & Diagnostic came out to about a grand VS. The $7100 that the dealer wanted for a head job service. Truck is running great! 🤷🏻‍♂️ *update #2 car started with the same problem and after two weeks of testing they found that it was indeed leaking coolant into cylinder 8. I was quoted between $8-10K, depending on what I wanted done in the repair.

    • @wjmiles1973
      @wjmiles1973 Месяц назад

      My 2014 tundra 5.7 just started misfiring in cylinder 8 out of nowhere. Turns out it has a blown head gasket. I have regularly changed the oil and babied the truck. The one thing I failed to do was drain and change the antifreeze. I never had a leak and tested the freeze rating every winter. Turns out it was corrosive and ate through the metal head gasket. Seems like this is a reoccurring problem in 2014 5.7s. Definitely change your antifreeze. I ended up selling mine because the repair was going to $14k or new engine $35k.

    Good to watch someone else replacing these corrupted clutch assemblies supplied to Vermeer by some misfits. The clutch always goes out like this under normal use from not lubricating the sliding grooves on the throughout bearing. Dust accumulates between the PTO output shaft and inside of this throughout bearing that will bind the 4 pins that are supposed to "glide" within the slots of the PTO collar. If you inspect the throughout bearing you will notice that these 4 pins will eventually grind themselves away if not cleaned and lubricated. BTW, Can you supply the part number for the throughout bearing? I don't think you mentioned it in your video. Carolina Clutch does not supply these throughout bearings any longer.
