Can you put link for allstar node in description?
I just found this on AliExpress: $128.97 | jumbospot New SR110U SA818 SHARI Raspberry Pi hosted Allstar node UHF 1000MW With Case hotspot a.aliexpress.com/_mPymamb
Need a raspberry Pi 3 or 4 also.
Also make a second node and put that bad boy on a really tall poll, then your, if its high enough set it to repeater to prioritize connection to your node, and your signal will hop and your line of site will get you more range
You have to also get rid of that antenna brotha, youll never get the range with that stock one
😮😮😮 I needs this in my life
Fake you can speek to iss space station you can interfering if you do bd arrested if the cort you so dont seei porchy pays
Nice clip, thanks, George M1GEO.
Thanks for keeping 2m SSB alive, Fred!
Great job Fred this was definitely knife edging at its best…. Definitely no line of sight between you and me….
can yu please tell me how to make an antenna for iss contact please
Hi Fredrick! Thanks for the video. I like your radio. 73 from Tenerife Isidro-EA8DGA My RUclips channel: youtube.com/@radioexperimenter?si=g2rV1qwp6e2C0lYv
Hello! I hope you enjoyed it, because the AO-91 is already on its last cartridges. The reports are increasingly negative. Thanks for the video. I liked that homemade full-duplex double walkie system. 73 from Tenerife! Isidro-EA8DGA
👋 You're always up to something, Fred. Keep up the great work 👍
Thanks, will do!
That was really cool.
Where you get that antena attachment?? And what radio are you working with? Thanks boss
Velcro battery strap for my quadcopters.
Retevis RT3S and Yaesu FT3D
Wow, that looks like my old house in San Diego! Cool video by the way.
At the end there it was plainly visible in the video. People look up all the time and see it and think it is an airplane. It moves noticeably faster than an aircraft would move and it is pretty dang bright when it passes over right as it is getting dark. _There are no blinking lights!_ In my 20x50 binoculars the unmistakable outline of the ISS is plain to see.
It’s so much easier when you can see it. Great work.
It really is!
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing this.
My pleasure!
Not sure if the aprs digipeater is on it was directly above me last night and this morning on the east coast and couldnt get any packets and none of mine was reaching had the 145.825 frequency in and i would beacon but nothing
Not been working pass few days.
Very cool, Fred!
Northwest was wrong, los in Northest.
Looking for the International Space Station to rise above the horizon.
What is he doing
Hard to understand what's going on here? Sounds like a bunch of people talking all over one another in trying to get their individual chance to talk to the ISS? Either way, great contact! 👍
Wayne, WB5TX was in there a couple of times calling you. Tnx for sharing your video.
Thanks for commenting, couldn’t quite make out your call. Hope to hear you better in the future.
Awesome hearing analog SoCal stations come in to a handheld in the Bay Area!!!
Thats a great setup with two ht's. are they both running opengd77 software? Do you ever have a desensing between the radios? I Once tried with two Baofangs and it didn't work. If it works so good I might buy another radio and try that.
Using the Revetis RT3S with Opengd77 firmware for receiving and Icom T8A for transmitting. Switch to Yaesu FT3D for the ISS to use the Digipeater while doing voice contacts. Yes two Baofengs won’t work, but you can use one for transmitting. Surprisingly no desensing on the cheap Revetis radio. Headphones for the receiving radio is best, but would not make for a good RUclips video.
Use narrow bandwidth on this one, 437.666 is downlink frequency. That is difficult to program on a Yaesu, Icom, or Kenwood that only does minimum 5khz steps. DMR radio accepts whatever you key into the code plug.
That's funny. Every time I try to make a Sat contact it's so busy and fast paced I can't seem to break in for a contact.
I use the exact same setup. I love my RT3S!
Love to chat sometime. Ko4pdi

75 degrees pass actually, higher passes the satellite is closer. Could not hear it on a 13 degree pass yesterday.

Excellent
BADASS!
Jack you are hearing me on my 2nd radio strapped to antenna. That my voice off the satellite downlink.
It would be beneficial for your viewing audience to hear better, would make for a better video! If you have your GoPro in the clear shell, there's no need as that's for water protection....consider just a straight cage or an external microphone. I sub'd to your channel recommended by the pickle man himself. 73's. ~ Jack, VEG

Wait till he finds out the earth is flat and stationary Gravity is fake and still an unproven theory All the planets follow electromagnetic cymatic waves perfectly The 3 body equation proves gravity can’t work for a single second The moon is a mirrored image of the flat earth map discovered in Germany during WW2 and every continent lines up perfectly The ISS trail nasa posts follows an electromagnetic torus field perfectly that doesn’t need gravity as a force to exist Oh yeah and here is a shocker THE GOVERNMENT LIES
Great video Thanks for sharing
