I am 60 years old and started collecting American Girl dolls in 2020 during Covid. I only wanted 2 dolls and a couple of American Girl outfits. But, ended up with a room full of AG clothing and 15 dolls. I am obsessed about my dolls and their clothing. I have a small place and really need to stop buying things. At least until I have money coming in. They’re super expensive. So, I have started getting clothing from Ebay. A lot of those outfits are from different stores and are still of high quality. I like the older clothes for Nicky and Isabel. I don’t spend more than 15-30 dollars on Ebay for an outfit. I was lucky. Because, I got one store outfit with a pair of platform sandals that go with an outfit from the 2000’s. You are going to love 122. She has the Joss mold and beautiful long hair. The parted bangs are so cute. Kanani is one of the holy grail dolls. It’s hard to get her at a good price. Even in used condition. I have a couple of TM dolls with colorful hair. They are hard to dress. Even, though they are cute and come with unique meet outfits. Last year, while I was still working, I got Corrine. It’s a lot easier to dress her. Because, I can hide the color in her hair. I have some dolls with wavy and some with curly hair. I usually like the dolls with long or medium length straight hair. Because, the hair is silky and much easier to take care of. I end up with a lot of defects on the hair as well. I am getting another Isabel. Because, her hair is so thin that I see the webbing of the wig. I hear that she is supposed to have a good wig. The doll that I am sending back has beautiful face paint. So, I am hopping the one that comes in has no defects. I am over 4 hours away from a store and don’t drive much anymore. So, unfortunately I have to order online. I wouldn’t have picked this doll. Because, I could see from the front that the webbing was visible. However, the whole head of hair is also too thin. Therefore, the webbing is visible there as well. Sorry if I am repeating myself constantly. I have trouble doing things.

I wish i lived near that store i heard about it from Kris as well! i have just recently started collecting ag dolls again (last year). im 20 and i bring my doll with me when i go places alone because i have really bad anxiety but she stays in the car sadly because i get too nervous to bring her in places.

Welcome to collecting AG. I think you made good choices for the beginning. I am much older than you and started collecting for my daughter but she no longer wants them but I DID! I just found a Kanani at a flea market for $5.00! But I had to invest in a new wig from Etsy and had to clean her up and restring her. Looking forward to your journey and a year from now let's see how many you will have!
