Late to the game and to the stream, but I love Theo's playthroughs. I have a rather random playstyle, and Theo gives me hope that I might improve. Theo, you have not me goblin chais until you play with someone like my kid. While I was persuading them to let us in peacefully, my kid poisoned their drinking cauldron. Of course, I get rhe cut scene and goblins are blaming me! I manage to start talking them down from attacking (the rolls hitting high), when my ratfink of a son stole from another goblin and started a fight with the entire camp! Goblins are running from everywhere to fight while I am yelling on Discord "I raised you better than this!" 🤣🤣🤣

Getting distracted by the int devourer was so funny and unexpected to me

I know Theo's way ahead from this vid, but I really do think he should probably move to playing Explorer mode, considering p much every combat has been to difficult for him (and that's mainly bc he doesn't understand the mechanics of each class as well as the rules of the game itself).

i love that theo's getting used to things, but he really needs to actually read and fully understand what each class feature/ability/attack does. astarion could be sniping the hell out of everyone, theo could be punching extra on a single turn as well as dipping in and out of melee w/ disengage, and wyll and shadowheart can easily manipulate the battlefield w/ their spells. i fully support the decision on wanting to explore the game on your own and at your own pace, but not understanding the basic mechanics definitely puts you at a disadvantage, especially in dnd, where strategy is everything. things like knowing that when an enemy uses hold person that melee attacks on that target are an auto crit (and knowing that your companion also has it in their spells), or that certain combat features can't be restored until you short rest is crucial. also, healing on your turn in combat is kinda useless in 5e, since it takes a whole action to do so. saving those potions for when someone's downed is how my real life dnd party use them.

tip, always try to run people out of toxic gas, fire electrified water ect, they take damage at the start of their turn. You would have definetly won that fight just by walking laezel out of the toxic fumes.

oh thank FUCK i've been yelling at my pc for 3 episodes just for theo to equip some weapons to his companions... and the fact a mod deleted the "click three times" comment so quickly he only JUST saw it before it was deleted... ban those mods pls, and just keep sb like cypher on during these streams (or maybe sb who can be a little more present) bc it truly makes it painful to watch 😭

i'm late to all these streams and was really looking forward to just binging it all, but it's incredibly difficult to watch when theo's not allowed to be given even just some simple game control advice. i understand not wanting backseat gamers because you want to play and experience the game organically, but it's frustrating to see that chat can't even mention that you can use the keyboard to rotate the camera, even though theo mentions he wishes could see where he's going a little better... like, c'mon. he literally used it a couple of episodes ago and probably just forgot, and it's definitely not a spoiler or strategy... it's a literal basic function to play the game, THEY EVEN TELL YOU IN THE TUTORIALS, which should be ok to send a reminder of!
