ur so valid like. i just really want to be more conscious about my consumerism habits u know? after that instant hit of serotonin of opening the album or trading the pc... what happens next? ;__; you're SO RIGHT like collecting is so fun because we feel accomplished after completing a page or finally finding the trade we want but sometimes you're just left like. "okay cool"!! when it comes to not selling stuff, i've just started giving away things for the price of shipping or gifting it for free to friends ZZZ. hopefully we can get out of our collecting funk together OR just give up LOL

omg thank you for listening to that ramble HAHAHHA i feel like i should have prefaced it somewhere that i was going to go down the deep end with what i was feeling. collecting is an inherently human trait!! something about object permanence and maybe even having a "goal" to work towards? oo you don't have a collection account? that must be nice lol i feel like that would be super freeing because then you're not comparing yourself to the people who might have "more", if that's something you strive for.

​@@universecollects nah I used to have one in the past and honestly that was the issue, then being like why do I have so many followers and barely any likes etc and then not feeling like a dedicated enough fan etc, it feels so much better! I just have to figure out a platform to sell all my extra stuff though 😂 I've only ig personal account but it's there just to keep up with ppl I followed but I stopped using it back in July, I go on once in a while and then I'm over it after 15 minutes 😅 And I'm like keep it and trade in the future, but I'm too lazy honestly I prefer just buying it somewhere else!

yeah trading is super fun but depending on the member you collect (as we discussed haha), it might be more of a hassle than anything. i always pump my fist whenever i'm able to secure a haechan trade because just goes SO FAST. have you considered selling or trading on reddit? it's decently anonymous but it's not the biggest platform for stuff.@@RandomKpopUnboxingsLQ

That's so funny, I'm literally about to take pictures to get price checks, I've been out of the loop so long I desperately need help, especially for groups I no longer collect. I'm seeing prices like $4 on mercari (how they're usually priced) then like $15+ plus which is ridiculous 😭 When I was collecting for 5yrs before I took a break, I'd always trade popular members for the member I wanted for 'less popular member', hate even saying that but now people are up selling popular member and then buying there's later but it just ruins it for fans, that's what makes trading fun is that you give each other the pc you want regardless of member pricing, something that has gone crazy 😭how are they going to sell a PC for one member for $4 & then the other member for $15 (including mercari)

@@universecollects no fr I feel like the main end for a lot of collectors is insisting on having full collections... Like if you want to for like one group ofc sure. I see that, that's a lot of money but if you're there since the beginning that's cool. Just expensive. I mean there is one person I follow and they collect OT5 le sserafim but they don't even buy all the POBs because nowdays POBs for every group is insane. Honestly I think selective collecting is 100% the way to go so that everything you have makes you happy, and it isn't exhausting since you aren't trying to keep up with everything, and instead you just get what you really want. It's really interesting to see how different people in the collecting community work.

lol yeah no shade at all but people who fully want to complete album pcs and pobs (even just for their bias) are something ELSE. i'm constantly talking with my completionist friends about this and i'm in awe of the way their brains work. i have a friend who collects ot10 golden child album cards, even for releases and cards she doesn't like lol. i can only imagine how crazy collecting lsf is because i hear theyre pretty member priced too? but at least with the advent of sorting and fansign group orders making album cards decently cheap, i hope that collector is having an okay time haha. and yeah, everyone's different! it's so fun to see. like, i sort my pentagon pcs by color which drives my friend insane because they sort by release and then age order lol. it's nice that we can all express our collection differently :)

you're correct in none of the other members talking about him since their contracts ended! ngl they haven't talked about him at all unless someone mentions off hand that he wished them a happy birthday tbh. I don't think he left the group before contracts expired but the physical distance between him and the rest of the members since invite u probably didn't lead to any positive outcome kdjdjfj

​@@universecollects Yea I understand that. The was missing from so many activities and promotions that I feel like it was a huge surprise when he WAS in group things. And when he wasn't it was more "yea okay, expected". It's a bit sad retro perspectivly because now it kinda feels like he never really was in Pentagon? In a way at least

@@sarah2604sm yeah :( he looked like he was having fun during invite u era and then he suddenly had to go back home for family reasons, and then he just never went back to Korea smh. I wish him the best!!! at least he's busy and acting/singing while he's there :)

oh for real!!! i don't really engage with anyone on twitter because i want to freely use a private account without curating my own profile, but i use the "for you" tab because i don't follow many unofficial accounts. because of that, i unfortunately see what twitter thinks i WANT to see, which is intergroup fanwars apparently? xD twitter is so messy but so fun and like, there's no better place to see clips of your favs if you don't want to sit through their 20 minutes of behind the scenes filming haha

wonyoung AND karina AND dream? i fear your power and patience because claiming them in gos or even trading must be a nightmare. would you say that the member popularity ranking (oof as awful as this sounds) has changed in this era compared to previous ones? when i first started out collecting, my friend told me that the ranking from most to least popular usually went "jaemin/jeno/jisung, haechan/mark, renjun, chenle" but i noticed that when it came to gos this time, a lot of jisung pobs went unclaimed while mark and haechan shot up really fast. did you end up pulling their d2c? i bought mine with damages off of someone from IG because retail price was so expensive after shipping T_T

@@universecollects honestly i think it has changed a bit. when i first started which was like glitch mode era, i believe it was jeno/haechan, jaemin//jisung/mark, renjun/chenle generally but for jisung he had a lot of cards that were popular especially his kihnos so he did seem harder than haechan at that time. i would definitely say this time the gaps have increased. haechan is a hard 1st, then jeno, jaemin/mark jisung, renjun, chenle. at some point i had to stop collecting non-album so idk their pob situation but from the merch end of last year haechan/jeno were the quickest to sell non-album so i assume its the same for pobs. and i got 4 d2c vers and luckily pulled haechan but i gotta buy the other 3 secondhand bc the shipping was ridiculous but I couldn’t trust to find haechan secondhand at a reasonable price and idc if it costs me the same to get just the pc as the album, i can’t justify paying it 😭

I'm eyeing Mercari right now and like yeah, the d2c Haechans on there ARE cheaper than buying from d2c directly (lol) but subconsciously.. .. . . .I don't want to pay that haha. but I also don't want to pay to gamble with d2c directly either. you mentioned you're ot7 right? do you collect POBs for your top 4 since you bought 4 d2c? o:

you're right!!! I've been collecting their Walmart and Target USA exclusives and I've been able to trade for almost every member :^) I just have to be fast and patient, but they'll be there :D

honestly the only hard thing about is just how much u have to purchase since its 7 each time and sm really loves member versions these days so im almost buying all the different types as opposed to a photobook only and then buying just pcs for everybody else i didn't pull. i do not miss dreading who i pull tho so thats a perk 😭@@universecollects

@@universecollects Based on things that Youngtaek has mentioned, he seems to be bravely dealing with multiple challenges: loss of appetite - doesn't eat much when actively promoting, so must be weaker chronic insomnia - must feel tired a lot of the time cholinergic urticaria allergy - gets rash when his body temperature is hot (like when rehearsing or performing) allergy medication - probably contains antihistamine (ingredient in sleeping pills), so could make him even more tired You don't need to feel bad, because it was good that he got to meet a real caring fan like you ❤
