Have you guys considered creating a pourover focused and espresso focused bottom burr assembly to sell separately? I feel like that would make this very attractive in that, instead of needing multiple whole grinders, you can have a single grinder with extra burr assemblies. Like a hand grinder version of how many people swap flat burrs, but orders of magnitude more convenient.

There are many custom hoppers on etsy that are functionally far superior. Less stick and semi-slowfeeding and people are stil developing new stuff. The one I got has a twirling spire structure that completely prevents popcorning and is non-stick even with rdt, I would choose it over this any day.

How is the scale today? I've seen reports that the Mini is prone to some problems and inconsistency, which doesn't happen as much with the Timemore Basic 2. Do you think the Mini has a faster response time than the Basic 2? It makes any difference?

I don’t think it’s trustworthy but you are putting too many grinds. Instructions for different grind sizes require different spoon amounts. For a coarse grind I think it’s 3/4 of the spoon. For fine grinds it’s 1/4. Great for color testing though.

I purchased the S3 and I don't like it. It only has 10 clicks for espresso. I used it with 3 types of coffee beans and on the finest grind size it is still not fine enough. Coffee (30grams) runs in 12-14 seconds. Way too fast. Next to this, the grip of the grinder is awful. And the exterior is hard to clean. Be aware: not suitable for good espresso!!

Its a shame they didnt improve the threads on the catch cup. Thats my least favorite part of the xlite.

I have their scale and wdt tool. Excellent quality for the price. Will get more of their gear once i upgrade my machine to a 58mm group 🙂

do you know the meaning of all in one ? if it cant boil the water or dispense it at high enough pressure to make espressos then it is not all in one as it cannot provide to you the final product without some help needed ! A all in one is a machine that can either take beans or ground up beans and provide you liquid coffee ready to drink ! this means this still cant be the only thing one brings to camping or work and expect to drink coffee. it is at most a handy machine !

Instead of increasing the size of the hopper they should change the floor of the stock hopper to be at a steeper angle. This way, no more beans that end up just sitting in the hopper, refusing to fall in. And while they're at it, just put and anti-popcorning dome instead of the current flat thingy. There's a reason other grinders use a dome. It just needs to be wider than the opening, and voila, no more popcorning.

Is there only 4 increments for espresso grind? Is there a way to adjust by smaller increments?

How is it, any updated videos? Because I ordered one and hoping it doesn't suck :D I was actually impressed with the basic versions of the Timemore C2 and C3 so I got this one after hearing how satisfying the foldy handle is :P

I really struggle with collecting chaff from pour over fine grind. The chaff is collected, but lots of coffee grinds get stuck in the chaff sieve too. What setting did you use especially for the upper burr set?
