What’s beautiful work of art! I’m trying to preserve my sisters bouquet flowers but ended up being too sharp :(. What do you use for file or fix edges when they are sharp?
@@sara-cl8ir thankyou so much😍❤️ If your piece is small like earrings, I usually use a nail filler and shape the edges. If its a bigger piece , then I would recommend a sand paper. ❤️❤️

@@YourPetalSmith you are very welcome, I have a bunch of pansies growing wild in my yard, they are smaller ones, its unfortunate that they are going to get cut when I cut the grass.
@@crazygn0me67 oh no😭😭😭😭 that is sad. Keep them and bring it to Vancouver hahaha🤭
@@YourPetalSmith well I could put them in a book and flatten them that way, I don't know if they would turn out weird if they were completely flat, unless you had a 2d line of jewelry ☺️
@@crazygn0me67 hahahah yeah I did it once with 2d pansies. But that is so much work for you lol😂😂😂
Hello friend, I wonder if i make earrings this way how long will they last? How long have they lasted in your experience? Thank you in advance!! <3
@@mariahmiranda1385 hi there :) so flowers and resin sometimes do tend to change color over the period of time due to their natural processes but if dried properly it can stay the same for years. I have earrings I made 5 years ago that I still wear and they look the same. ❤️❤️
@@YourPetalSmith amazing! thank you for taking the time to respond! I pray for much success due to your kindness in Jesus name!!! <3

How money times can i reuse it
@@MeronDereje-r3z Hi, you can use silica gel as many times as you want. However, after every drying process, gel has to heated in the oven to reactivate the beads. :)
how many times do you reuse silica gel? or when should you get a fresh batch? your bridal one inspired me i want to do that for a friend that's getting married soon!!
@@cutieworldwideee oh wow amazing your friend would love it 🤩🤩 For silica gel you can reuse as many times you want. But after every drying process you will have to re-heat the gel in oven to re-activate the beads again. :) ❤️
I was wondering how and with what the holes were made in the petals to put the hooks in. I just saw it on a pair of shorts. Thank you very much. ❤
@@antoniaboigues4582 i am glad its helpful :) I usually list all the material in my long form video descriptions ❤️❤️❤️

How do your orchids keep the shape and color in the silica gel? Mine loses its colour
@@reshikasingh7590 Hey, the way you will place flowers in silica gel it will remain in the same shape. So try to make it as flat as possible while drying. 🙂 For color, silica usually retains it in most cases. How long are you keeping your flowers in silica ?
@@YourPetalSmith the orchids are taking 3-4 days to dry but the color fades a bit
@@reshikasingh7590 3-4 days are actually not enough. I would suggest keeping it in silica for atleast 2 weeks or flowers will rot overtime. Some colors do tend to change a little bit like white. But if your flowers are loosing colors after 3-4 days , I would suggest changing the brand and try again.
The color of the flowers and the type of silica gel plays a role. Most white flowers will turn yellow (unless there is a specific silica gel I haven't heard of that won't do that). Red flowers (esp roses) will often turn a wine color. Make sure the container is plenty deep & look for silica gel with reviews about drying flowers for specifics.
