The iconic image of rickshaw pullers trudging along the by-lanes of the busy streets of Kolkata, carting people and goods, in water logged streets during monsoons is a regular feature of this historical city. The story of long-standing retainership by families - how these men are trusted, and how warm relationships have at times continued over generations.
