Thank you! I've been keeping my commentary brief on these videos because I never really know what to say, but I think I'll start to talk more again. I did that back at the beginning of my channel and it seemed to have worked well!

Oh I love cake! I'm a huge fan of sweets in general lol, I always say I have a huge sweet tooth. 😁 I'm also a big tea drinker! I do like the occasional iced tea during the summer but I LOVE some good hot tea on a chilly day or at night. I usually get the advent calendar every year from David's Tea and it's so much fun. Thank you for the compliment on the layout, and I agree with you regarding the beaches! They're always so empty. Rarely do I see one of my villagers on a beach and if I do, they're just sitting under a coconut tree. 😭 I wish some of the NPC visitors would spend more time on the beach instead of wandering around town where I can barely find them half the time.

@xMortylicious It's definitely a lot of work! I'm just too attached to my villagers and the memories I've made on my launch island, but I'm always game to try a new layout or make new areas. I said this in another comment but you can kind of speedrun the early game stuff when restarting but flattening takes a ton of time and effort due to how the game mechanic workds.

@jadespipboy That's totally valid! Flattening and restarting both take time but flattening takes a LOT of effort. You can at least sort of speedrun the early game tutorial but I really wish they made terraforming in this game less of a hassle. It's awful.

@charliecharmander3213 LMAO I mean I'd be more willing to do it if I didn't have to rank every color customization option 😭 This is the exact reason why I'm putting off ranking all the villagers. There are too many! Maybe one day I'll do a stream for the things that will take longer.

@Jestepharms Thank you! Yes it can definitely be a learning curve. My boyfriend's turnips accidentally rotted once-he used to live in Hawaii which is five-six hours behind the east coast depending on if we're in Daylight Saving Time or not, he came to my island to buy from Daisy Mae and forgot it was still before the "new day" reset in his game, so once Isabelle gave her announcements for Sunday, his turnips spoiled. 😭 It was rough!

@celested.8013 I try to use a mix of ACNL and ACNH background music. I don’t hate the tracks in ACNH but some of the New Leaf ones are better, just like I don’t love all the tracks in ACNL.

@shamine5887 I know! I'm glad they're making an offline version to keep the game alive, and they updated the FAQ recently to state they will update the game on occasion and all items and villagers will transfer over. We don't know how the fortune cookie mechanics will work, but that's to be seen with the bigger announcement at the end of October. I'm really going to miss the online multiplayer aspects though.

Me too! I love the antique bed but I hate that we can't change the color of the blankets, same with the rattan one! It's such a missed opportunity. I just want to make a cozy space. The gorgeous seat from the New Leaf era was the perfect example of a cozy, high-backed armchair and I wish we had that in New Horizons but customizable. I mean, we kind of do with the patchwork chair but I want to use my own patterns on it to make it fit more with different furniture aesthetics 😭

@DDPlay_TABMovie Unfortunately I think the hate stems from how Nintendo treated the game in terms of offering content updates and essentially releasing it as "unfinished". I do wish we could have more than one island per console, but they did that to drive console sales and it worked. I can kind of see both sides of it but I just love Animal Crossing so much and while I'm sad they abandoned the game, I don't hate it. I'm just disappointed.

My biggest issue with the game is the lack of dialogue options you see when talking to villagers. It was what brought me back to every other game in the series, but knowing that I'll read the same things over again dissuades me. This video does make me want to try the DLC though!

It honestly is way too many homes…so after the first 10 homes I lose steam lol 😂

@modeza2098 I feel the same way about the dialogue! It makes me so sad that we don't have the diversity of the older games. I think I've been seeing some new phrases pop up here and there but I don't actually talk to my villagers all that much any more 😭 I hope you're able to try the DLC! It's really fun, and try to go at a decent pace so you don't get burnt out!

@ml6820 This is a whole mood! I try to limit myself to doing 1-2 homes per real life day if I can (if I have the time to play and desire to go to Paradise Planning). It's definitely easy to lose steam but I'm glad the DLC is exactly that-DLC-and not a standalone game. But I was also a Sims kid growing up and my favorite part has always been building. 💚

@SamFromSolitude Unfortunately, this game (like pretty much every other cozy game) is very grindy in its approach. Your best bet is to grind for miles using the Nook Miles + goals, especially the daily multipliers, and catch fish, bugs and sea creatures, both in general and in an attempt to get unique ones. The simple act of picking up golden tools for the first time will also net you a bunch of miles (you don't have to craft them), as will selling turnips for a profit. Cooking, crafting, planting flowers and dealing with weeds, as well as planting one of every fruit tree for the first time should also help. The fishing tourneys and bug-offs throughout the year will also give you miles each time you compete per season.

Yes!!! They really nailed it with this one! The only things I dislike are the inability to hang things on partition walls and the minimal amount of options for facility exteriors. Other than that I love it!

I agree with this. I like the lack of micro transactions but I'm going to miss the multiplayer aspect. I am happy they're making an offline version of the app though instead of leaving us with nothing.

The Switch IMO is more similar to a tablet than a phone (I think it actually is running some version of Android on it). I just don't see them porting it to the Switch, at least in this generation of the console. Nintendo said we'll be hearing about the Switch's predecessor in the first part of 2025, so I don't see them adding another Animal Crossing game to this console when we'll be seeing a new console probably around the holidays next year. Also, historically, AC has only been one game per console generation, and I don't see them breaking a 20+-year tradition. Plus, they're making an offline version of the app for mobile so it wouldn't make sense to port it to console.

Unfortunately, that's what happens when there are micro transactions that bring in tons of money 😭 They're also different dev teams. For real though, I have a feeling Nintendo just wants to get out of the mobile game market and focus more on console releases. I heard the Fire Emblem mobile game is their highest earner, and they essentially did what they're doing to Pocket Camp, to Mario Kart Tour, so who knows? They haven't released a statement as to "why" and they likely won't. I just hope the next console game will have more for us to do, especially in multiplayer mode, and have more updates for longer.

So, you won’t have the new years event if your Resident Services isn’t upgraded, as both Isabelle and Redd take part in that. That means they won’t be closed and you won’t be given the extra miles on January 1. I’ve seen Twitch streamers and speed runners start the day before the player’s birthday to get extra miles as that’s the best bet. You won’t have events unless your Resident Services is updated. You also can't redo villager homes, or your own home exterior, as you need Tom Nook to be at the construction counter (and for Isabelle to be there if you want to reset a resident's house).

I believe if it's a "normal" Sunday they may ask, but they won't have a thought bubble on a Saturday when K.K. is there, nor when there's a holiday/special event like the Fishing Tourney, Bug Off, fireworks, etc.

Oh no! Have you reached out to Nintendo support? There might be something with the Switch internally that may need to be fixed. I used to follow a Twitch streamer who said the internet on her OLED Switch never worked properly and she was only able to use it if her phone was connected as a hotspot. It can't heard to reach out and explain the issue and troubleshooting you've gone through. It may mean sending it off to them for repairs, but when I had to do this in 2022 because of the fan starting to fail, the turnaround time was great and because they didn't have to touch the parts with my data, everything was as it should be.

The one I talked about in this video has free islands! Quite a few of them on Twitch do, you just have to look unfortunately.

Hi! First off, thank you. Secondly, no. Your camper can pick anyone to leave. I don't believe they can pick a villager actively having a birthday, but I'm not quite sure. If a villager is already actively moving out, like their house is in boxes, then (I THINK) they will only pick them since they're already in that process and you can't have two villagers moving out at the same time. If you have a camper, and they pick anyone other than Klaus, just quit your game without saving and it will reroll who they pick the next time you go through the dialogue. DO NOT say "no, not Ellie" for example, otherwise when you're trying to convince them to move in they'll always pick Ellie after that. So you'd quit without saving in the middle of their dialogue picking anyone else except Klaus, reopen the game, and go through the process again until they pick Klaus. This can unfortunately take a lot of time 😭

@@DiannaPlaysGames tysm for this <33 ended up getting doc in the campsite and after 5 attempts i finally got klaus, probably going to use this method for now on unless doc gets a thought bubble and asks to leave :D ty again!

I'm so glad it worked! Doc was actually my lazy starter! Unfortunately that meant I had the starter house for him, but I'm glad you were able to move out Klaus!
