Join me on an unforgettable sunset hike to Madeira's highest peak, Pico Ruivo! Starting from Achada do Teixeira, I originally planned to watch the sunset from the main trail, but the tourist crowds pushed me to find my own path. This off-the-beaten-path adventure led to a private sunset spot with panoramic views that most visitors miss.
Accompanied by Eli and Edu from Homeoffice Madeira, we soaked in the breathtaking scenery in total solitude. This hike is a reminder that sometimes the best views come from stepping off the usual track.

Ladies and gents....this is a very dangerous hike! Dont try it, and definitely dont go down in the dark! Sad to see people name these hidden spots.......

Perfect example of why tourists keep on dying in Madeira...its fucked up for our rescue teams who have to go risk themselves picking up these people dead bodies...😏😏 Tourists will never be able to tell the difference between people trails and rabbit trails...😏😏
Thanks for your comment. You’re totally right, that’s why I don’t tell the route. This last piece can’t be found. Speaking for myself, I’m experienced hiker with 1000+ trails on Madeira and many more in different locations. Best regards

Pretty stupid idea to do such routes without experience or proper equipment. What's more, recommending such routes to others to cause accidents and thus rescue missions. Galhau da Lapa is a high-risk area for a reason.
Thank you for clarifying that it’s really dangerous. That’s why I wrote below not to go there alone. I would appreciate if you don’t judge about our experience or equipment. I did 1000+ Hikes on Madeira. Have a great day though.
