Hi, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the elastic cords on the sides are not sturdy enough to hold something as heavy as snowshoes. In this case, we recommend you to have a look at our Daydream 35L or Roc 28L - see links below. On these backpacks, you can put one snowshoe on each side or turn on the side compressions in the front to attach them there. Hi @lichtloper, thanks for using the product intensively and sharing your experiences with us. It helps us improving future products. - 0:16 'reinforced front pocket': The purpose of this pocket is to fit modern foldable walking poles. They have sharp edges which could destroy the net pockets. The padding helps the pointy edges to be more rounded and buffered which helps the fabric and the whole product to last longer. - 0:22 key-clip to the back : If you attach keys on the clip they will move to the back of the pocket anyway. We attach the webbing close to the zipper opening (usually on the left side) to always find it easily. - 0:26 hood-straps loosen / wider straps/buckles for easier operation: We were using this buckle set up for over 10 years also on many other backpacks. These were standard products that many other famous brands use as well. However in the meantime we developed together with YKK a new family of side-release buckles (on the front) and also new strap-adjuster buckles (on the back) that improved the friction by increasing the release angle and improved the handling a lot. With the new versions it's easy to operate the 20mm versions even with gloves. Might be that you caught one of the last products with the ols version. It is true that webbing on shoulder straps is short - especially for a tall people. They are design to cover most customers (both short and tall). - straps-material has become more slippery: True. Well observed! Luckily with the development of the new buckles (mentioned higher up here) we were able to stick to the same comfy webbing all over the backpack range. When re-designing the DayDream, we wanted to offer a trekking backpack that answers the needs of trekkers who go on long, multi-days tours and therefore want to reduce the weight, have a reliable backpack and are looking for practical solutions to organize and access their belongings. The new DayDream is made out of 500D cordura and 100D mini R/S. The textile industry has made enormous progress in the last few years enabling us to have lighter fabrics that are extremely tear-resistant and robust. Furthermore, we revisited the back system to allow more comfort when carrying heavier loads and excellent ventilation on the back pannel. What kind of backpacks are you looking for? It's not fully waterproof but as long as the bag is not exposed to water too intensively, it will keep its content dry. We've used our Duffels under the rain for a short period without any problems :)

It is water repellent but if you want to make sure it is totally waterproof you can purchase one of our raincover :)
