Why don’t they have families?

The zoo should be looking for a place to send the brothers to start their own families. These brothers are going to be miserable and agitated living together like this. Any primatologist with half a brain knows this. Most people with common sense can see it. By this alone I can tell that zoo sucks.

What a fabulous habitat this is - second to none. Someone needs to draw the attention of a couple of the Japanese zoos to this, as to the standard they should be aiming for. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see the mess in which other gorillas are kept in some of the Asian zoos. They can try to explain their standards as much as they like but, it doesn’t take a genius to recognise that it’s not normal, or even close, for their Great Apes 🦍 to be trying to lay down, on painted concrete with old sacks, instead of nests and branches etc, and surrounded by old food, urine puddles and piles of 💩. They don’t live in their own filth in the wild, so why would anyone think they should in captivity ? Time has come for Japan to establish legal standards to protect these creatures who cannot protect themselves.

I don't know how I could have missed this group of brother silverbacks. I watch gorillas all over youtube and missed this group of brothers. Wow. I just went and looked and the brothers names are Maka, Mandazzi, Ekuba and the youngest Denny. Does anyone know if someone videos them regularly like the gorillas in the Japan Zoos? I don't think zoos will send gorillas over there again after Biju, but there are three female gorillas I can think of that would be great for these guys. A couple sisters and a younger female Annie at another zoo for the upcoming blackback Denny. I don't know all the politics of it, but those females need mates and it would be so nice for them to get out of where they are and have some mates of their own. Thanks for the video.
