We got a digger in! Now, how to get it back and what jobs to do🤔😁

The neighbour kindly lent me his digger to do a few jobs on the estate. Slight problem, I need to get it back 1.5/2 miles. I don’t have a proper hitch for my low loader so tracking it is 😫🫣. Hope you enjoy 🙂

Tidy machine love those tractors get the muck when you can 😆
@@TheFarmingGiant450 thanks 🙂 I did well finding her that’s for sure! Haha yeah, there’s a bit more to go out but I’ll get it this week
Ahhh the fresh country air... 😅... good bit of muck that.. spreader does look a bit small on the back of the MB.. 😮😊.. nice seeing the mf out and about to.. hope your doing well? Stay safe 🏴
@@ianhaggart1438 good job I can’t smell much 😆. Yeah just pure muck so should kick the grass on next year🤞. I’d love a bigger spreader but I don’t get enough work from one yet😔. Have a good weekend 👍
Ive been on it tge last couple of sundays and on it tomorrow (sunday)again the pile I'm in at moment is wet and sticky tajes half hour before it starts coming out almost to the point i was thinking of getting contractor in Mb sound good on it The deutz gears get me reverse move stick forward and forward stick backwards😅
@@antonyfarming 😆 yeah I was having trouble with it not throwing that much out… I’ve still got the bigger spreading plates but cba to put them back in for one day 😆. Ha that’s a bit of a strange gearbox as well! Swear they did it on purpose🤣🤦♂️
I have got automatic car manual pick-up electric gearbox in a ford tm manual box sticks on the right in my 6710 massey 135 with sticks in the middle then a kubota lawnmower which is hydro drive which I can be in all the same day 😮😅😊
@@MalcTyler I guess at least it keeps the mind active… trying to remember when the controls on each on are 😅🫣
Ive just bought a marshall spreader the same size and out New Holland is even bigger at 140hp so hopefully its not too much power for it!
@@oakfarmagricultural506 😆 sounds like your new Holland might just cope! The trac isn’t 125hp… infact I don’t know what she is! Someone has played with her and don’t know what she’s at🫣
Hi Casto Nice bit of muck spreading Enjoy the rest of the weekend thanks again
@@DJC995 thanks Darren 🙂 hope you enjoy your weekend as well 👍
Good job mate, I've been on ours for three days now, Only got a day and a half's worth done though, I keep getting dragged off the tractor by other folks wanting my time, Famous Dave was the worst culprit. 😄
@@FarmerP 😆 good old Dave! To be fair, think I technically only did a days worth, had other jobs to fiddle on with as well🤦♂️ I still need more muck though!
Nothing like the smell of fresh muck in the morning….especially if the wind is blowing just right! Cheers! Whipple
@@Whipple1 ahh Whipple! I thought you’d left us! Haha horse muck isn’t too bad but then again I can’t smell very well😆
@ Still here! I’ve been around but not actively commenting. Been busy taking care of my parents. Sadly, lost my dad a few months back. Just not the same without him around. He was my best buddy. Trying to carry on…..

Sorry for your lost taje care🙏@Whipple1
Be careful flying that low.😱
@@MrBollocks10 😆 don’t worry, just my phone out of the roof hatch 👌
Hi bud just got a 698 but can't find where the backend oil goes 🫣
@@MowersFamilyFarm hi sorry forgot to reply 🤦♂️ if you stand in front of the tractor, down the left hand side nearly next to the bottom of the cab should be the filler neck with a screw top (should be on the left of the fuel filters, to the right should be the engine oil with T Handel and full cap) hope that makes sense. Good luck 👍
Hi Casto Nice job Thanks again
@@DJC995 thanks 😊
That looks a 1hr job thats now 2 days 😅with that willow could u wrap chain around it and pull the bugger out? Looks like it needed doing well done 👏 👍👍
@@antonyfarming thanks mate. The chain was in the Sanderson away😆🤦♂️
I find digger operating incredibly depressing, first five minutes is fun, then it's just looking at mud all day 😂
@@MetalByBrian 😆 I feel the same way when I’m wishing mate 🤣🤣🫣🤦♂️. Nice to see your alive 🤪
My T5105 does exactly the same
@@johnpurser1808 it’s actually stopped now. Of all things, I tightened the window mechanism on the window end which cured it. I don’t think it was pulling the glass into the rubber tight enough
Nothing is straightforward is it 😮😊.. but your hedges look straight enough 😊.. nice size flail that to.. stick a hydraulic flail on the sanderson and go for a drive 😜🤣.. stay safe 🏴
@@ianhaggart1438 lol nope! She keeps fighting me that’s got sure! Thanks, they don’t look back at 30mph🫣😆. Yeah it works well… just could do with being a bigger head and longer arm 😆. Ha, yeah I’d thought of one of those saw heads already, would have made those reductions easier
Sorry you had the hassle, but glad you got it sorted mate. A hot meal and early night will do you a power of good.🙂👍🏼
@@FarmerP cheers mate, guess it’s just part of the learning curve… and second hand gear 🫣
Sorry you had the hassle, but glad you got it sorted mate. A hot meal and early night will do you a power of good.🙂👍🏼
The top grub screw is the filler hole, the middle one is the level and the lower one is the drain plug
thanks John👍 I took a guess and filled it to the middle hole. must have been a good guess then 🙂
Ooo bugger never seen one do that 😕 have seen a head come off not good What you've cut looks good 👍
@@antonyfarming my mate and I thought there would be a big 20mm pin or something holding it in but apparently we were wrong lol 🤦♂️. Cheers mate, it looks ok from a distance but up close it’s not the best but hopefully next I’ll BS a bit better🤞
7:47 D'oh!!! wasn't expecting to see that!! What a nightmare
@@robertdavies922 to be honest, neither did I when it’s happened 😆🤦♂️. I’d hit some pot holes up the track add with the sway and clatter from the slack in the arm I didn’t realise… till I turned the plough lights on😫🫣
Your trimming looks neat enough to be fair.
@@paulf2529 thanks Paul. After spending 20yr+ hand hedge cutting, I’m trying to do the same with the flail even though I’m only 40hrs into it lol. When you start looking it’s not brilliant but I’m learning
Some nice sun set rises makes a change 😮good job on the digger
@@antonyfarming yeah been some lovely sun rises and a lot of rain 😫. Cheer mate, not as good as normal but with the bucket that slack😬🫣
Visited the Elan valley in Wales and heard a rumble in the distance. Spotted a little digger about that size tracking it's way up and a mountain.

nice to see the 698 keep under cover . my boss still had 2 698,s and a 699 . all kept inside .
@@anthony342 I usually try and keep the oldies under cover as much as possible, the new Holland is mostly plastic but she still has her space for winter. Always fancied a drive in a 699😁
Nice wander.. Nice bit of space there.. not many people 😅.. and as they say On Yer Bike.. 😂 stay safe 🏴
@@ianhaggart1438 not many people is great… apart from the bank balance😅. I did fix the bike before I gave it back… kinda😆
Thank you for sharing. I'm down to the hub assembly trying to drive that shaft out with no success.
@@raydenny3390 we tried all sorts but unfortunately only an angle grinder fixed it 😔. Even after we cut it off you could see it wouldn’t have pushed off without damaging something else. Good luck with it🤞
Good fix on the sanderson Bit worried about your neck if u go trimmer on mb 😮can u put some sort of cover over the back to protect it like a old carpet get someone to help put trimmer on!!
@@antonyfarming I don’t think it’ll be much worse for my neck but you might be right. Yeah could sheet the back end but still worried about smashing the windows😔
Recon your right putting it on mb it's not that much work if it doesn't work simply take it off and sell mb and buy a suitable tractor My heart say no to this idea but my business head says yes Casto
@@nickhill3362 😳😳 shame on you! But unfortunately that idea has been in my head 😭😫 she will work happily on the hedge cutter but the amount of damage I could do 🫣 it would be a big step as I’ve had a merc in my fleet for 16yrs now, be strange not to have one

@@nickhill3362 to be fair, I’ve nearly jacked it all in in the last couple of years but somehow haven’t. My 2 joys in life are my landy and the trac but if I have to they will go… I’ll try hold onto them while I can but you never know
Hi Casto there's always something to fix Now for a daft question could you turn the Heage cuter head round and drive in reverse drive Thanks again
@@DJC995 not that would be a great idea! Only slight problem is, as I share it with the other lad we’d end up swapping it over all the time 😔 would be great if it was only my hedge cutter

That boat is worth good money in Calais It would probably hold 100 asylum seekers, another 20 hanging on each side.😂 So what was the quality of your hay like this year and is it storing well?
@@elginsparrowhawk7203 haha, not sure this would even get down the lane in one piece! There’s defiantly a couple of the last lot of rounds bales which might have been lost (think the headland was in them) and don’t know about the little ones, won’t really find out till Xmas time… I’m expecting the first lot i did to have been lost😔. What a year it was
Ahh... a spreader you can see in.... nice size... we used our zetor rear spreader for years and years.. 5.5t still have it but is retired due to rust issues.. i was 17 when we got it now im 44.. so not bad going.. stay safe 🏴
@@ianhaggart1438 still a bit low when you’re in the Sanderson lol. Yeah it’s nice but could do with it being shorter but higher 🤔. I’d thought of finding a zetor spreader as a 5.5t would be a good size of the contract jobs. Blimey, it’s lasted that long😮😮😆
@@casto- 🤪🤔🤣.. they are underestimated.. but believe they aren't building them anymore 😕.. you just need to remember to empty the spreader completely before unhitching as it tends to nose in the sky otherwise.. 😆.. but you could easily move it from area to area with landy as I did with my s111 moons ago 😜
Hi Casto Nice one that case sounded nice Thanks again
