Ive been getting into pyrography last few months and your skill inspirs me to try to do better. Ive had this idea for a wood burning project since i got into pyrography. Its a horror style chesire cat with a tophat holding a playing card. Unfortunately its super detailed and dark. Ive been trying to find a way to get an outline that i could work with to trace it onto the wood. Got any ideas

From the looks of it a good starter sketch is important, understanding shading. When to shade, where and how much. And a whole lot of patience! Like they say in the pyrography world low and slow. Low heat and burn slow. Also a good set of tools help too. Either way this is absolutely brilliant. I would love to get to that skill.

What did you use on your brush for the finishing touches of the smoke effect?

Veronika you should do a Gnome forest scene with the mushroom house like this piece. Would be incredible I'm sure.
