I must admit, I thought that it was kinda lame at first that a guy like this would be Sauron when I watched season 1. But as of where we are now in season 2 I feel a lot more at ease. Even though Halbrand showed glimpses of his true nature, it seems clear now that most of what was Halbrand was simply an act so he could bide his time and regain strength. Now that he's in his Annatar form he's again acting differently and when you put his performances together and see the glimpses of his true self, you can really feel that this is indeed Sauron.
