Filmed on Sunday 15th December 2019 plus film of HST farewell rail tour on Sunday 21st. After over 40 years of operation on the east coast, the HTS are retired from service on the east coast. Only 3 sets where used on the day, only arriving after darkness at Peterborough station. Filmed on Saturday 4th August. Locos include: 70013 "Oliver Cromwell", BR Standard Class 5 73156 as 73069 and 78018.
We don’t normally see the 153 ever work on passenger services on the GCR at all Normally it’s out on the mainline which are more suitable for them

Quite strange to see these in preservation. I clocked a class 153 at 82mph between Whitland and Carmarthen. Not bad for a 30+ year old 75mph train.
I have went here with my mother and 2 sons, but george got too excited. thank you for uploading the video. Chris and george, really loved the class 153s.
