    Great Video. I just planted a red bartlett tree this morning that I had gotten from Lowes in Central Pennsylvania. I am glad you said that the tree is self-pollinating because the tag said it needed a buddy tree for pollination. Hopefully, next year, I will get some fruit. The plant did not have any blossoms on when I bought it..

    Great video, very thorough! You will love having your strawberries in a greenstalk. It keeps the strawberries up off the soil so they won’t go mushy, keeps the runners tidier and more manageable while tremendously cutting down slug and snail pressure too. I have 4 greenstalks dedicated for strawberries and will never grow them any other way. The greenstalk addresses many of the issues people can have with not getting abundant harvests. Happy Gardening! 🍓🌸🌱

    Greetings from the UK. I've friends down in the valley & also up on Ridgecrest & it amazes me how much they grow, as you get something like 10% at best of the rainfall I do here in Cumbria. Our average last frost dates are similar though & I already have potatoes in containers & tomato, pepper, cucumber & melon seedlings growing to plant out later in my polytunnel. I love New Mexico & can't wait to be back over again in October.

    • @NMHighDesertGarden
      @NMHighDesertGarden 3 месяца назад

      What time of year did you plant them? If it was late in the season, they might not have had long to grow. They do need some time to establish their roots, but once they’ve done that, they should grow fairly large each year. Remember the garden saying for perennials…The first year they sleep, the second year they creep and the third year they leap.
