Hi, I know that some of the building like west kownloon M+ that have a new version of the Media wall, It have some beam light at hong kong island side, and the Jardine House, and exchange square the scarch light is on again Also the hong kong buget said that [, a brand new lighting show will also be staged to offer a new experience to the public and visitors while they are enjoying the spectacular view of the harbour], but not sure is that said SOL will have new version. But Now I am not in Hong Kong, I could not be update anything about SOL right now.

Hello, Sorry to hear that you’re not from Hong Kong… and yeah I was also predicting Version 6.0 to come but yet it could be staying on 5 or may never… Anyway I feel glad to see some of your SoL videos in the past, because that’s what made me support your channel. I have to say I think the best version of SoL was the winter edition at 2018, the lights were bright and shiny except for the beam light of central government offices usually delays for half a second. What do you think is the best version of SoL? I’d like to hear your thoughts! 🙂

@@ethan_is_here04 for which version I like, for now I will not say which will be the best I like, case on the technological progress, the animation software just like Maxon is update every year Also the light system controller like MA or other video player controller is also update. That will help the light controll should be do it better then before. Also i also see the AIM and Moment factory website, and will see every moment will have there new thinking of the show so i will not say which is my best like, i will be appreciate on the design on that moment. For now I hope is the SOL main controller could be update, or like have another way to make the control better. When I see the SOL, most of the building is using there own time system. So that you will see just like AIA central, the LED monitor and the LED Wall always not play the SOL video in same time. Just have some building like HSBC or Hong Kong City hall, they have some people to check the time every day so you will see that that could be start on time every day.

They run the show on time code and start automatically according to its show computer's time (i.e. 8pm everyday, unless someone shut off the show), no wireless timecode signal across the whole harbour I guess. So if some computer's time is out of sync, their timecode is also out of sync, and the show will out of sync. This rarly occur on the additonal ground lighting package because it runs on a sperate console located somewhere and the LD will check whether the time is correct. The console (GrandMA2 onPC in case you want to know) can grap the correct time so the show will run in sync to the music.
