I feel like they could've just changed the title to "Life in Pyongyang/life in the capital of North Korea" or the like instead of taking it down, while they are frank about it in the intro, the title still makes it seem like this footage is supposed to represent average north korean life and not the surface level existence of the most privileged. Still very interesting and refreshing perspective but definitely not the only doc you'd watch to understand the reality of living there

Thanks so much for this upload! It's nice to see actual people from North Korea, instead of the typical same old tours and propaganda. Even though no one can freely speak in front of a camera (I know about that, I was born and raised in Chile under Pinochet), to see the North Korean people, specially the ones from the countryside, having fun, the senior citizens, it's really nice and helpful, specially for those Westerners who can't separate the people from the default leaders of a country.

Is this made for people who have never seen literally anything else about North Korea? Pure propaganda.

Even if it is fake It's not worth to make people in this country see that they live in giant rathole because just look at yugoslavia or ussr When those countries collapsed russia was one of the poorest countries in the world and economy was decling even faster than in the 80s and in yugoslavia wars broke out and killed many people and now imagine that north korea got defeated and swallowed by south and how south goverment would try to make those from north adapt in this society and don't try to revolt again Like most of them belive deeply in their leaders so it would mean another war who started by american version of liberation

Despite the issues with shortages and blackouts, what North Korea has accomplished with all the sanctions it has dealt with is amazing. This is by completely cutting themselves off from the world. I really wonder what they could do without sanctions. I think they could even become a wealthy country.

Why can’t the whole country be like this

I see these people and wonder what their lives are like. What’s your favourite food? What do you like to do for fun? What are your hopes and dreams? They are humans too, just in a place that doesn’t allow them to be free and many are brainwashed. Part of me wants to give them a hug while no one’s watching and say “this is not all there is” and I wish they can be free someday.

Their smile is ridden with fear. Hell on Earth!!!
