This documentary changed my life and showed me an outlet to vent my depression and anger. We watched it as a class in the sixth grade and the teachers gave us a chance to have our own poetry slam. Later two men from this documentary came to our school to watch us perform our poetry and I was told personally by one of them to never stop writing.

Steinmetz Highschool Poetry Club is what we are known as now. I wish we could emulate the sincerity and emotion there was then.

I watch this in my last school year when I was in the tenth grade,in my Creative writing class at the end of the school year. I try to hold in my tears but couldn't.

We watched this documentary in my poetry class i almost cried

Like everyone else, we watched this in AP English. This is honestly the most powerful and memorable part of LTAB. I remember after this part played the teacher paused it and the room was completely silent and almost everyone had tears in their eyes. Absolutely brilliant piece.
