Another epic surf session on the Nannewiid! It was very busy with other surfers. Enough wind and a nice temperature. Board: Tabou Rocket 115 Sail: GA Cosmic 7.7 Vin: unknown Wind: 16 kts, with gusts up to 22 kts Great session!!

1st session after my holiday. Didn't expect there to be so much wind. I had one of the largest sails with my 6.2. Unfortunately, the wind was gusty due to the showers. But nice windsurfing session! Board: Tabou Rocket plus 123 Sail: GA Cosmic 6.2 Vin: Select slam 39

Another great day of windsurfing on the Nannewiid. As the day went on the wind became stronger and stronger. Started with my Rocket Plus 143 with GA Cosmic 8.3. At some point I swapped the board with my new old Rocket 115 (2011). Sailed along for the 1st time, went like crazy!

Wind forecasts were good, but turned out to be somewhat disappointing. Later in the afternoon the wind increased to 14 to 15 kts in gusts. After a few times up and down the Nannewiid, I couldn't get the board to plan. There was so much seaweed that a seaweed fin was needed. After inserting this it went great. Nice session, almost three hours of sailing. It took some time to get used to sailing ...

A sunny and warm day with 12 - 15 kts wind. The first day of the year in my short windsurfing suit, temperature of 28 degrees and the whole lake for me alone. The wind was gone around noon, a wonderful early morning session! Board: Tabou Rocket plus 143 Sail: GA Cosmic 9.0 Fin: Select S12 slam evo 47cm

Strong wind on the Nannewiid, 19 kts with gusts up to 30 kts!! Tough conditions, a bit impressed by the force of the wind. Working hard. But having fun. Great session with Remco, Rienk and dude on a wave board (sorry don't know his name) Tabou Rocket Plus 123 GA Cosmic 6.2 Select s12 39 cm Wind 19 kts, gusts up to 30 kts

On arrival there was enough wind for a 6.7 sail, but after rigging and a few turns the wind dropped. But still planing nicely in the gusts. Nice session, with gusty winds, slightly stronger than expected. Had a lot of fun this session, with good company!! Board Tabou Rocket Plus 123 GA Cosmic 6.7 Vin Select Slam Evo 41cm

2nd day in a row with super windsurfing conditions! Wind 17 kts, with gusts up to 24 kts. It was nice and busy with windsurfers And a new personal speed record of 54.3 km/h (29.3 kts)! Board Tabou Rocket plus 123 Sail GA Cosmic 6.7 Vin Select slam evo 39 cm

Why you are grabing your mast when you doing your turn
Why not ? "boom-to-boom" or "boom-to-mast" are two technics with the same result (also in speed). i think it is a question of personel preferences. By the way i do it mostly the same way (boom-to-mast).
@@tiboregresi9295But in high winds (like 30-35knots) mast to boom gives you less control compared to to boom to boom. Mast to boom is good in light winds and makes it easier to flip the sail (which is usuallly big)
No 35 to 40 kts conditions, not even half of it.. big board, big sail, a lot of weedgras in the water, so a planning jibe is not at stake here..

I have the 2023 version (same ?) I am 90kg, I like it very much because early planning (7.2m2), easy jybe. Speed is not so fast but it also because of my technique and confidence. I am wondering if it a smaller fin could help in strong wind. (I can carry only one board)
Use the board with 8.3 and 9.0. Fins i use are select pro 45 en 47.

Nannewiid is a smal lake neerby Oudehaske/Heerenveen/Joure. In de province Friesland . The north part of the Netherlands🤙

Vroegah vanuit Joure had je aan de andere kant ook een grasveldje met steiger, langs zo’n zandweggetje is dat er nog?
Die is er nog steeds, ook een klein strandje.. onze 1e surfspot broer!
@@GJSpijksma ben daar idd heel wat keren met surfkar achter de fiets heen gezwoegd, nadeel vond ik die drassige bodem in Nannewiid verder fijne spot ivm ondiep water, toen ik in Sloten woonde was ik altijd op Mirnser klif, wemelt het nu van de kitesurfers schijnt, vervolgens werd het Schellinkhout, Andijk of Onderdijk en in de weekenden Wijk aan zee wat ik overigens by far de beste spot vond.
Looks like great fun! 👍 For me it seems like you harness lines a too far back and you have constant pressure on the front arms. Maybe i am wrong here and its just the angle of the camera 😅 Keep on!
Combination of extreem strong gusts, angle of the camera and harness lines way too short. Thanks for the tip. Maybe its worth tryting to put the lines a bit more towards the mast

Hello. Could you please advice, i wanna byu such a board but 125l. How would you tell, is it not too small for me, in case i am 70kg and use oftenly 7.0 sail. Thanks :)
How would it perform in lighter wind conditions?
I am 85 kg, use this board with 6.2 6.7 7.2 and 7.7 ga cosmic sail. Wind max 25 kts, minimum wind 16 kts. With my 85 kg the board stil floats and tackingbis possible!
@@GJSpijksma oh wow, appreciate your feedback. Thats sounds nice, i ve mined more about moments when the wind drops down. In such case, i believe it will be still stable enough to stand on straight comfortably)

@@GJSpijksma het ging om de aanhanger kort in beeld in het begin met die 2 Starboard en Pinguin radio stickers. Die heb ik zelf gebouwd. Verkocht ivm aanschaf surfbus.

Welke vin gebruik je onder dit bord ik lees regelmatig dat de bijgeleverde vin niet veel voorstelt .
Gebruik een Select S1 Pro 45 cm, de originele heb ik nooit gebruikt ;-)

I did... frontstraps in the outside position, the fourth holes. Backstraps in the outside position, the second holes..

Ben zowieso niet van het pompen. Passief aanplaneren gaat heel goed bij dit board. Beter dan bij de mte uitvoering.

Hi I can see that in previous videos you have used MTE version of rocket plus. Is there a significant differece between MTE and LTD/TEAM?
Is hard to say, the MTE is 123 plus en the LTD a 143 plus. The ltd is lighter and also stiffer in my opinion. For the feel the 143 planes a little faster.

@@GJSpijksma ik vind eigenlijk dat je de stijl van je eigen lekker zelf moet weten. Tis ook erg leuk om video's te maken. Al heb ik in de loop van de tijd wel dingen aangepast, bijvoorbeeld een lange intro. Video's gaan wel lekkerder lopen als je wat meer uptempo muziek gebruikt en de shots onderling wat meer varieert.. Als ik met de go pro film probeer ik wat te variëren met de verschillende camera plekken dmv een go pro Claw. Op de giek, boven in de mast, op mijn harnas.. Maar ook dat mag jezelf weten. Hang loose gr Martinez
Helemaal waar Martinez.. probeer er ook, soms, aan te denken. Maar dan gaat het surfen weer zo mooi dat ik die camera helemaal vergeet. Ik laat de camera altijd lopen en dan maar wat shots knippen en er wat moois van maken.. De wil is er wel, nu nog wat aan de uitvoering denken🙈🤙
Lekker man als je gaar bent na je Surf sessie lekker chil video's bewerken, kan ik erg van genieten. Maar het kost indd erg veel tijd. Die heb ik genoeg 😀
