Peter and Josh from Oboz talk about the importance of getting properly fitted for hiking boots and shoes. Properly fitting footwear should feel so good on the trail that you don't even realize they're on your feet. A proper fit will happen when your foot length, width, and arch length are measured. Did you know that a lot of people don't know their actual shoe size? Because, chances are, the la...

I lost the insoles for my Oboz Bridger 8" size US9. Which insole should I purchase, to replace them?
terrible video slow down?
Thanks
I opened the video thinking you will tell me the difference, which model is suited for what activity? This is disrespectful with the customers, I am frustrated
Could you reshoot this video with maybe a close-up shot of what you are doing? I couldn't see any of your moves from the distance that you have the camera shooting the footage. IJS! 😵💫🫨😵😵😵😓😞😩😰😒
Awesome Jordie
@@TomMcClure007 thank you Tom!
Thanks so much Obōz for telling my story! I'm humbled and honored!
From one Jocko valley resident to another, I'm proud of you, Jordan.
@ thank you buddy! What a place to call home.
Didn't expect to see a Maori name, nice!
Only have 1 hole at top
Nice, straight to the point, thanks
I Dino but I think they come in wide sizes.
I love my my Oboz boots. Sportsmans Warehouse actually carried the size 14 I needed.
Such a simple and great tip, thanks!
Considering these are supposed to be professionally produced product overview videos, your efforts would be immeasurably improved by finding someone for the voiceover reads who can maintain a natural cadence by actually reading/speaking complete sentences.
Just about fell off my chair laughing when you licked that sole. I've been a longtime oboz fan and have several pairs. Thank you for bringing these shoes to market.
Very helpful!!! I always wondered what those extra islets were for. Now I know.
The information I’ve seen out there (including this video) does a terrible job at explaining the difference between these two lines in understandable terms.
That was not even remotely helpful. Most of those comparisons were just a rewording of the same sentence. The difference in fit was the only meaningful takeaway from this video. Questions that would be useful to answer: Which midsole has superior stone bruising protection or ground feel. Are the outsoles the same material or is one a harder/softer/more-advanced compound? Which is recommended for carrying more weight? On the scale of lightweight day-hiking to multi day backpacking, where do these two shoes fit between the Katabatic and the Bridger? Maybe I'm asking a lot here, your website is equally unhelpful with its numbering system where half of your lineup has identical rankings and where the compare button is obscured by the newsletter button on mobile devices.
3 months and still no answer!! I have the same questions : which model offers more cushion? Thanks,
I love my oboz, except that the protective leather tip on the shoes have begun unraveling and the stitches came loose. Grr
At the beginning of this video you show hiking shoe and I was waiting for the explanation how to tide the shoe, which I have a problem with. Then a whole video is about how to tide hiking boots. Not really useful…
I used to wear the Columbia Redmond Low, before Columbia destroyed the shoe in 2019. The midsole had this incredible EVA material that was so springy that you would bounce off the pavement, or rocks, or roots. It completely protected the bottom of your feet, and your knees. Then they went to some horrible midsole material in 2019 that literally felt like walking on wooden boards --- they killed both the bottom of my feet and my knees. Columbia eventually brought the traditional Redmond Low design back, but they kept the new midsole material, they didn't go back to the original EVA, so it was unwearable. Strangely, 5 years before Columbia ruined its hiking shoes Brooks ruined its running shoes in the same way. Brooks had this phenomenal EVA material they called BioMoGo. It was INCREDIBLE. Like the Columbias, you felt like you were bouncing off the pavement. Then they went to some hard, new material and I had to stop running. This is one reason I was so thrilled to find the Columbia hikers --- they were so cushiony that I could wear them running, so I was able to start running again with the Columbias --- until they destroyed the shoes. Can you tell me a bit about your EVA material? Is it like the old-fashioned EVA?
I own five pair of these for women. in different colors ...by far the best fitting, functioning shoe for hiking and trails...
Awesome video! Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the great video!
Just bought the X Mid B Dry to wear during urban and rural SAR duty. Fingers crossed they last, but by far the best fitting, most comfortable waterproof light hiker I have ever worn. I'm 245 6'6" and wearing a 14. Really feel great on the trail! Especially notice how they keep my feet in place on downhill and my toes are not sliding into the end of the shoe at all. Well done!

Thank you so much for your video, and I appreciate your reminders of folks on the impact of the plants and the forest floor. Can you say why yarrow is fire wise? What does this mean?

Wow
Oboz! The best hiking boots money can buy! I'm on my second pair. Hiked hundreds of miles. Zero blisters, amazing comfort. Support this company.
Disappointment, the suede rips on the outside easily, my daughter has done two hikes and already has a hole in them. Not worth the hype, you can't wash them, they are narrow with poor breathability, they are stiff, not flexible at all. Nevertheless, she wears my old Salomons. Avoid this brand if you can.
Sham we still cant buy the Sawtooth 2 shoes in Australia, the X's are just plain horribly fitting, looks like I will have to search for another brand now.
They do sell them here, at Kathmandu. I bought a pair today at watergardens. beautiful fit too I might add.
I have used Vasques, Merrill, Scarpa, Keen and Oboz. I have this problem with OBOZ only. Design flaw maybe? The boots fit great ste light, we'll cushioned, provide excellent support, but will not stay tied especially on rough terrain.
What a useless video. I can't see what he is doing. The camera should be much closer. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have boot laces that come undone every 10 minutes.
What is the stack height & drop? Youre not providing info for this
Heart warming and beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Great story!
WTH is an "athletic fit"?
Back to Merrel Moab, I guess.
I miss the original. :(
Just bought a pair of sawtooth x’s wore them all week I have no complaints
Oboz is our go to!
😘 "promosm"
Just bought another pair of Sawtooth IIs. Please don't get rid of these shoes they are the best hiking shoe i've worn and customer reviews EVERYWHERE attest the same. Reviews are better on the Sawtooth II than the Sawtooth X
Did you ever try the Columbia Redmonds prior to 2019, the year Columbia changed the EVA material in the midsole and destroyed its shoes? I'm wondering if these might be as good as the old Columbias.
I like that thumbs up at the end. I never knew what the device was called; but, that's how my feet got measured for the longest time. These days, I just get asked what size I wear.
Love the idea, but the women’s colors are so boring!
i bought a pair and they split within a few months
