You all are not factually accurate. Shaw joined in 1976 for Crystal Ball. He joined a band that already had a top 10 single and a major record deal and another hit album with Equinox (1975) which had Lorelei that went to 27. Crystal Ball (Shaw's first album) was a step back. You also don't have the right singles with the right album. Come Sail Away was on Grand Illusion. Note - if you want to credit a band member with success, you need to look toward Dennis DeYoung. He wrote and sang their 7 biggest charting hits. He also produced the albums and rearranged Crystal Ball and Renegade into Styx songs vs. CSN&Y songs.

I agree with Dennis DeYoung who once called this POS the worst record in the history of recorded music.

This album is a guilty pleasure of mine. I kind of the like the low production level because it's a little raw. It's definitely not the best musically or production wise that they would do later on, but something about it appeals to me. Tommy Shaw was set to return to Styx in 1988 but they had to wait for Dennis DeYoung to finish his 3rd solo album. While they were waiting, Tommy ended up forming Damn Yankees with Ted Nugent and Jack Blades. This is why he did not rejoin Styx until 1995.

The Runaways were a seminal hard rock band made up of teenage girls who wrote their own songs, played their instruments and produced their live album. Not bad for kids who hadn't yet graduated high school. They toured the world and were huge in Japan, but America wasn't quite ready to listen to the music. If you ever see reaction posts about the Runaways on YT, all the comments are on the level of "Great eye candy!" When the Go-Go's came along a few years later, the US was more receptive, especially since the music didn't scare anybody.

A great comeback for the band in 2010, strong from beginning to end. Too bad they couldn't get along and give us more music after this.

Fair Warning is the best album for the David Lee Roth era! One of the best guitar work by Eddie. But i think Sammy is the best singer by far.

Yes, they did release a video for the live show which includes the 12 minute video at the beginning that was called Caught in the Act. Just to add further context to why Dennis Deyoung created Kilroy Was Here concept and why there was backmasking on Heavy Metal Poisoning mockingly. In 1981, Styx was accused by those censorship groups of having backward messages on the album Paradise Theater which was the album prior to Kilroy. In particular, the song Snowblind was accused of having a backward message that said Satan moves through our voices. It was just a coincidence that a line in that song sounded similar to that when played backwards.

What Gale Sayers did in basically 4 1/2 seasons, it would've taken every other RB during that time 8 to 10 years to accomplish. That is how Great Sayers was. All before the Hash Mark change. RB, Kick Returner, Punt Returner. He really only played in 5 seasons, missing the last 5 games of '68 because of the devastating injury he suffered. Only on the field for a couple dozen plays in '70 and '71 combined; 2 games each season.
