I think that any audio-emitting devises be it speakers or headphones and IEMs should reproduce music as INTENDED by composers and audio engineers and not as an individual happens to like or dislike. So, if composers, singers, conductors or mixing engineers approve particular speakers, DACs and amps as well as IEMs for music they CREATED then you have to check your own tastes and preferences if you happen to dislike how the approved equipment sounds to you. That's why I find it ridiculous when someone criticizes neutral sounding equipment creators themselves liked for the reason it's reproducing music faithfully and without distortions of any kind, like elevated bass, or trebles, etc. After all: if you happened not to like a sound signature of such equipment, then the problem is you, not the equipment. Use an equalizer for goodness’s sake!

bit late to tell you but it doesnt have 64GB of ram. it probably has something like 2GB of ram. Similar to smart phones. RAM doesnt store data it is just used as space for the OS to run. By the way i owned a FIIO. It was buggy, it had awful branding. For example when turned on it displayed the message "welcome". As if its not your player and you need to be welcomed to it. The thing stopped working after a few months and their customer service is based in China you have to pay for all postage. What i said had no value to them. Its not about pleasing the customer its about you pleasing them. They said they will not commit to anything until the device is sent to their base in China and they decide in their view there is a fault. That didnt sound reassuring because paying money to send it there and back for nothing is a waste of time. I sold it immediately and i dont trust these chinese companies. Sorry i gave them a chance.

Your explanation of Compression is wrong but I understand why you got to it and it's close to correct. What you got wrong or explained poorly was that compression can just lose data and nearly always does. Which is categorically false and that's a fact not a debate. Compression can be Lossy or Lossless Lossless is less efficient and uses more space but is always 1:1 data accurate, no exception. This is important for text and numbers where data can't be lost at all without destroying it all. Lossy is more efficient and can considerably lower space usage, however it gets way more complicated whether or not you can tell it's compressed or if that matters. This is done on images and sound that have more data than you are probably capable of seeing/hearing anyway so lossy compression formats try their best to only remove those for the most part. For example your PC, phone and most things use lossless compression all the time and you don't even notice. Even audio has lossless compression, such as FLAC and ALAC. Lossless compression's only downside is that it's less power and space efficient than raw and lossy respectively, otherwise it's basically free storage space. For example MP3 is an ancient, dried up husk of a lossy compression format. It's inefficient and removes way too much audible data and is still too big. Compared to OGG/Opus/Vorpis which removes more data, but does so more efficiently and less audibly noticable making it superior. Bluetooth codecs generally are lossy compression, so data is lost, but Bluetooth (nowadays) is more akin to Opus than Mp3. Especially if you use AAC or better, SBC is fine but it's really old. LDAC is probably more than you'll ever need realistically for Bluetooth for now.

Bought. But I'm going to return them. The sound is hardly better than my old 20 euro earphones from Apple. Sometimes Apple is even better. And I find in ear really terrible: pressing feeling in my ears. gives a lot of irritation.

How do these work? Do they connect to the phone via Bluetooth and listened to via wired headphones or wired to the phone and listened through a wireless headphone?

Hmm, no Qudelix 5k. The PEQ with the 100s of presets, which made a huge difference with different IEMs and over ear cans I have, made me return the BTR 7. I tried them back to back.

I have both the k9 akm and the topping dx3pro+ with ess. Would you say the topping will cover the more detailed clinical sound the ess offers or is there a big difference in sound. Between akm and ess there is a difference and I like both transparent sounds for different applications. Sounds like we need a dac that has both ess and akm to switch between

Lats week was comparing these to the Sennheiser ie900 and i returned the ie900. I also have the Monarch 2 which were my favourite among all flagships or some expensive iems ive had, like Mest 2, u12t, ie900, Xelento 2 and i like the Variations even more than the Monarch 2. For me the Variations are cleaner, smoother and have way better bass. I dont know whats going on but to my ears the Variations are absolutely magical in tuning. Their trebles are ethereal, i feel like im floating in space when listening to them.

Your ears canals might be shaped in a way that produces a wider soundstage with the monarch iems. I tried the monarchs and the soundstage couldn’t even reach as far as the hd800s imho.

At 6:34, when you begin describing your experience of listening to Diana Krall and the details of the instruments you hear, I finally better understand the experience beyond just the typical adjectives ubiquitous in reviews. I am glad I came across your channel while investigating the Whizzer HE03D. Thank you for that review, by the way - I was almost done in by their good looks alone.

I agree with the slight clamp force/headband, but that's about it. When I first played the Ghost, I had the same sound impressions. They really take a long time to break in. Saying these are 'horrible' or 'garbage' doesn't tell us anything whatsoever. Every transducer makes compromises for every price point, and every listener has different preferences oftentimes formed by past experiences. The quality of the Ghost is that they are inoffensive and smooth, and have a slight bass boost below the 'boom' region. The Diana Krall track you mentioned is a very smooth track, which the Ghost will make even smoother. Inversely. the Rhode is a brighter headphone, and will destroy your ears with brighter recordings and make the Ghost sound like a work of art. Furthermore, the Ghost is an open-back, which gives me the ability of hearing the phone or doorbell ring. For open backs in its price range, I prefer it over the 9500, 9600, and 560s for different reasons (the 9600 being the smoother of the three).

I took the BTR7 and mounted it with velcro to the Centrance Ampersand with 4.4mm short cable balanced.... then I used the fiio M15s as the wireless source..... that turns the BTR7 into a powerful wireless amp that has enough power to drive a susvara.... it sounds very very good...

What are the name of the other headphones… not the sony ones I will need a replacement soon
