Thanks! Yeah 3rd is basically only weak early on, thus deploy more defensively, get criritcal mass, then attack. Works most of the time.

As I said, the problem is not me not bringing enough recon, the problem is that recon doesnt spot anything anyway. You need to be super close to see anything, so you either get the big recon squads that can survive actual combat or you just spam inf/tanks and put your arty on all the ATGM/AA positions once they fire. Exception are recon squads with exceptional optics, but those are few and far between.

@@Aim_Deusi Which players? I watch VulcanHD regularly never heard him complain about the recon. The recon have traits and differnt degrees of ability to see the enemy .. In your last video I saw you conduct and assault with ONE recon unit, and you put him in a building that did not have LOS over the entire battlefield. There is no question that you would have spotted more if you had brought more recon, no matter how you feel about the recon in general you seem to be bringing in too little at times - particularly when conducting assault. You need recon to cover everything and then recon to back up that recon once its lost. You dont seem to use the LOS tool a whole lot - of course a single recon units isnt going to be spotting a lot if its placed somewhere with inadequate LOS.

@@gustavalexander8676 I use the line of sight tool quite extensively while playing, just not in the replays because I focus more on what is happening over all. Also more recon doesn't spot more, that's simply not how it works. You can even see in the video that I have a sniper something like 1.5k meters or less away from confirmed enemy positions, yet it can't see them. Well, citing a single RUclipsr is not really a good overall picture ;) Especially considering he plays casual teamgames. Talk to most of the high rank 1v1 players (visit the SD Discord for example), and pretty much every single one of them will tell you that recon is massively underperforming. This has been an issue discussed for months now. And the thing is, if you think otherwise, that is perfectly fine, and I by no means want to say that I play perfect or something, but you can test yourself how close you need to get with a recon squad to spot something in a building or forest line. The game is already fairly defender-sided (literally as you can see in this video lol), and recon only spotting units AFTER they fire, if at all, only makes the problem worse. Again, don't take my word as gospel, be free to check out tmans stream or visit the SD or WarYes Discords and ask the people there.

It's not as bad now that ATGMs got fixed, stealth in general is just busted right now. I really hope they adress this sooner rather than later...

@@Aim_Deusi i dnt think stealth is that bad. you didn't seem to bring a lot of recon imo. I certainly wouldnt conduct an assault with just a single recon unit. You're going to have a lot of in an out popping ghost AMXs that way.

@@gustavalexander8676 that is correct, but the thing is that even with recon you can't spot things unless you are right up in their face. And that's not just my opinion, all the best players and Strike Team agree and have been trying to get Eugen to rework it. The whole reason as to why the game is extremely defender-favored atm is because a bunch of squads in buildings/tree lines can engage you before you will ever be able to see them

No thanks. TOW-2 (and Milan 2 to an extent) is already wreaking havoc without any effort from the player, while the opponent has to watch out for every bush on the map and have the smoke ready and re-armed.

I disagree, ATGMs are already extremely oppressive, no need to buff them further, even though the idea is cool.

The KUB is a radar SAM, though it has a fairly low accuracy at 45% (50% as it is upvetted), which it amkes up with range (I don't remember how long, but it is long). Combined with the ECM of the planes lowering the accuracy, it is expected to miss a lot, though the massive amount of misses in this case was definitely out of control. Btw thanks for checking out the video without even knowing the game haha!

@@Aim_Deusi Kubs are usually my top scorers in games, the trick is have them 3 at a time as a close unit with a command V to boost them. have the kubs grouped and with the command V hotkey them, as soon as you see a SEAD plane press the number hotkey, tab and turn the weapon off until the SEAD turns or leaves to turn it back on- you can catch SEAD planes out by waiting to the right moment to turn back on but also have an igla screen up ahead. Always move them after shooting, if you want complete aerial denial bring in 2 batterys using the same as above, 3 kubs + command V

@@HaraKiriMaxir I always have them on a control group. The problem is, that adds extra micro on top (and uses another command unit), plus this is a lot of points invested into one small area. It takes one bomber to get through and your entire AA net is dead, thus I would rather spread them out. Also this will most likely leave one side undefended, as you can rarely cover the whole map with one KUB blob. And well, bringing in two of those blobs is insanely expensive, no way you can afford that if your enemy is half decent.

Oof, that sounds like a terrible idea for my win rate hahah. But yeah, tube arty really should be better, let's see how they balance it going forward. Thanks!
