You need to speak so much more about the realities of the many immigrants who came to Canada during that time as compared to now. The many cultures who worked tirelessly to help build our Canadian railway only receiving slavery wages. No hotel. No benefits. And the 'why' that the Canadian government chose to enslave the Japanese immigrants as well as the Chinese immigrants. Please update your page with the truth. Thank You.

I’m so happy I found you- my name is Natalie Hladun, and I spoke many times to you at the Ukrainian Credit Union in Toronto, where I worked- I still have a black long sleeved tshirt- with Ukrainian dancers which you brought in to sell for a lady in Vancouver- how kind can you be- I was born in Kirkland Lake to a very patriotic Father- my mother embroidered my whole costume for dancing and singing mama and tato came to Canada in 1928. -

When I was Principal, we were thrilled to have had this brilliant woman perform for our community at Jackman Ave Public School in Toronto, when we focused a year long study on Kiev, and the Ukraine…..late 1990’s. 🇺🇦 She wore her Ukrainian dress with the ribbons of her head piece, dragging on the ground…..talking about her childhood, her family, and her experiences. Overjoyed to have had her with us, along with a Ukrainian Children’s Choir, to celebrate our focus on Kiev. Given what is going on today, my heart hurts for all those of Ukrainian heritage, both here and overseas, who are facing a foe, not of their creation, but just for being there. The World is saying: ABSOLUTELY NO! NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!
