How to Remove a CarMax Sticker from Your Car without a Heat Gun!
Here's how to remove that CarMax dealer sticker from your car. In this video I recorded how I removed the CarMax sticker from the painted trunk spoiler of my Dodge Challenger.
I did not want to use a heat gun. I don't own one of those, and I didn't want to risk bubbling the paint with it. Maybe that's not a problem for guys that do work like this all the time, but that aint me.
But I wanted something simpler.
So I tried this method of using vinegar and plastic scraping tools.
Worked great! Got the CarMax sticker decal thingy off my beautiful car. And no paint damage!

I think I used the items you recommended but I think I missed a step somewhere; Let's see Step 1. white vinegar, paper towels, plastic spatula and a credit card now step 2. open the first beer set down ponder how I'm going to accomplish the tasks. Step 1. open the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th now 5th OK now were getting somewhere yes, I do have a 5th of Jack Danials for situations suck as thhhhhhhisssss I thunk a tire has a leak. Next day go to a detail shop hand them the credit card to pay to get the sticker removed, so you were right it does take a credit card to remove a sticker and look no damage to the paint either. OK Just fooling around, I honestly have used this procedure and yes it does work. very nicely done video clear and accurate.
I certainly erred in leaving the beer instructions off, but I’m sure you had waaaay more fun!
I made CarMax take mine off.
After watching this, I bought white vinegar and rubbing alcohol. I soaked a paper towel with white vinegar and taped it over the decal with blue painters tape and waited 5 minutes. Then I used a credit card to scrape the decal off! I wiped the residue with more vinegar and the credit card, and I used rubbing alcohol to get the last bit of residue off and it came off so fast! Thanks for posting this! You don't need a heat gun at all.

Found remote start issue After starting remotely in my garage with out driving just to charge the battery then try to start third time does not
Could still be low on charge, could be battery dying.
My Hellcat is in the garage, I have my battery FULLY CHARGED. It remote started 2 hours after being on charger. OK I left it on the charger all night to top it off. Now on a 60 degree day in my garage Full charge FULL tank of gas all good 300 miles on it BRAND NEW !!!! it's doing the one beep thing and it won't remote start. WT#
Empty tank, cold temp, dying battery the most common causes I know of. Since it isn't those, I don't know. Try searching Hellcat.org or call the dealer.
Mine does the same thing, but it says "Remote Start Disabled Start Vehicle to Reset". What causes that?
If your tank isn’t low, then probably cold battery issue. Read through comments on here, many people have had that issue.

I'm being told by the Dodge service manager that state of charge is the issue, my Challenger remote start won't work when temp outside is freezing. The battery dips low enough to where the system says no go for remote start, I'm thinking of trying a higher cold cranking battery that is compatible with the car. I was told that the state of charge is not enough to repower the battery then in the morning I have to use the button inside the car. I used a jump battery on a cold morning after a first attempt failed and it worked but that was after starting the car to reset the remote start from the inside of the car.
Yes, I would trust your service manager. Modern batteries work fine right up until the end of life, then they quickly lose their ability to hold a full charge. Battery manufacturers suggest replacement after 3-5 years. In my personal experience, I have gotten 5-7 years on 2 different car batteries. One I got about 10 years. My Challenger right now is going on 8 years. I live in California and it doesn't get that cold here, so I probably get longer battery life as a result.

Worked perfectly! I left it on about 15 mins. One swipe of a card took it all off. A little rubbing alcohol at the end clean up the rest! Thanks!

I honestly didn't believe this would work, but it seemed less invasive than other techniques I'd seen. I don't know how long the decal had been on my vechicle, but this worked like magic and couldn't have been easier or quicker.

Yes, I would expect it would work great there. Vinegar has been used to clean glass for years…

After I let a vinegar soaked paper towel rest on the sticker for about 10 minutes, the rest of the process literally took 5 minutes to complete. Thank you! 👍🏽

My Hellcat has the exact same problem but it says disabled remote start.. how do I fix it

Does the white vinegar not eat through the clear coat of the paint and leave the area dull?
When I did it, the paint was shiny like new afterwards with no mark, or outline remaining where the sticker had been.
I got a question my car does the exact same thing but I have plenty of fuel what could be the problem.
Old car battery? Cold weather? Both of those conditions lower the electrical output of batteries. When vehicle batteries get old, the voltage drops and the electronics in the vehicle don't work as well. I have one car that the battery died after 5 years - usually though they last longer.

I got the sticker off but I could still see a shadow of the letters there. I can’t stand that they put that ugly stickers on their cars. Yuck.
It's possible that your paint is oxidized or dirt buildup on paint. Using some rubbing compound could get rid of that ghost/shadow outline by getting rid of the oxidation or dirt residue.
What about googone
I haven't tried goo gone on car paint. And I don't know if that is safe for auto paint or not.

Are you kidding? No you are not !!!! Folks, understand and believe ; just brought home a supercool 2022 Ford Maverick Lariat/Hybrid/Lux/ 1st edition (in area 51) . Well, I love my local Ford ( Arbogast in Troy Ohio) Dealer. Irvin Wallace and his crew will take of you. The powers that be are reluctant to take advertising off of a cool ride. So.......I went home ...saw this post.... and........15 min. and some white vinegar with a cloth and a plastic spatula. Glue residue was eliminated with a generic wd-40 product. You would never know it was there !!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOHRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
