The last "Aztecs" in N. America were the so called "Anasazi". They destroyed themselves by cannibalism. Most joined the Dineh. There are no descendents of the Anasazi. They are each other. I suppose 1 survived lol. But that one person was also insane from the prion disease caused by cannibalism. We don't know what happened to that last lone person, but can be assumed they died. N. American indians had no use for gold. We understood the invaders wanted it tho. Each village they came too, the fast thinking elders would always say no gold here, but over that direction. Thus leading them off into no mans land and leaving their village in peace.

This was really a great news profile on the subject and apparently a confirming statement that what's there is staying put. @keith kennedy, Snails are easily raised in greenhouses, such as the kind on landsnail that escargot is made of. If they began propagation of the snails by farming them, they would be off the endangered species list in 2 yrs maximum.

Maybe there will be a really dry summer, with high heat, and the water will be down enough to get in there. The sludge would be a problem, needs the pond treatment for algae, quite a few bottles.
