Good job with the eye makeup! Boy George usually did his own makeup, believe it or not. I don't know for sure about in that particular video, but he did usually do it himself. He says he'd been wearing makeup since about age 15 and just practiced and over the years got better and better at it. 🙂

It's just my opinion but the wig is way too long for the witch of the west. Also, Margaret Hamilton's hair was brown and I don't know for sure but I don't believe she wore a wig. She just used her own hair pulled back and twisted into a knot of sorts. I'm guessing because there isn't anything I have found online to suggest otherwise. I am glad that Ms. Hamilton played the wicked witch. She was perfect for the role. I want to dress up next Halloween as the wicked witch and am looking all over the place online to find all the components for the costume. I have long red hair so I will have to get a brown wig and I think I'm going to go with a shoulder length wig and pull it back into a knot. As for the makeup and prosthetic nose, yeah it would have been better to put the makeup on the nose first. Good job though! If you notice on the images of Margaret Hamilton's face, there are dark-ish circles around her eyes. I think it makes her look more sinister. The 'white' you're seeing on Ms. Hamilton's face I believe are the lights. What I think is interesting about her makeup is that she is wearing a prosthetic nose which she probably didn't even need to because her own nose was long. It just occurred to me today while looking at her images that she has a wart on her prosthetic chin.

As someone who plays Ace in a kiss tribute band, My process is to put on the white, Do the outline around the eyes just like you did, but then I put the silver on, And last is the black lines so I don't worry about bleed through. I tend to think of it as a layer first layer is white second layer of silver the final layer is the black on top of all of it. Although I still haven't found any silver makeup that is quite as metallic and has the sheen that Ace's does.
