Yes I agree to using nice things! Some of my favorite "special" things I got for a few dollars at a charity shop. I'm always a fan of multi-color pens because sometimes I can't decide which color I want to write in 😅

Fakeinichi 🤣I think it's important to recognize when you actually use something vs. when you tell yourself you SHOULD use something. I find that to be an issue of mine in the planning/stationery world! "Well, I bought this expensive planner and it's what I need to use!" "But I'm not actually using it!" I've been using an inexpensive $10 planner from Amazon and have been loving it (I think I should make a video about it). You're able to fit so much in that!!

I am so glad you made this video! Just yesterday, I was searching for planner videos about being satisfied with what you have! Plus, I have yet to find a planner video that's really about planning. Don't get me wrong- I love washi tape and stickers, but a majority of the videos are about Journaling even though the title is "planning".

I have the print precision planner a6 blue jean and it's one of my absolute favorites. My other favorite is a hand made a6 from Etsy love paper plan it is a custom planner I named Autumn is my favorite color it's painted galaxy style but fall colors. It has no pen loops so I made a dashboard with a pen loop.

I love the rose patch you added to your travelers journal! I might do the same for mine because every time I go to grab it, it’s upside down 😅 And I’ve heard about the weather in Florida, it’s crazy! Like the golf ball sized hail from a few days ago… I hope you guys stay safe over there!

A good starter fountain pen is a Lamy safari, great choice of nibs from EF upwards. Also the pilot metropolitan is a really good planner fountain pen. I don’t like carrying about anything too expensive in my planner, though I do have some high end fountain pens. Used to be able to get them around £15, but maybe more pricy now. If you get the version made for the Japanese market the nib is finer as they tend to prefer fine nibs. The downside is the refill is the Japanese style but I just refill with a syringe from bottled ink anyway as it’s much cheaper. Prefer to reuse cartridges as they hold more ink than the converters.

September leather has an A5 size that would work for your work planner and will fit your hobonichi. I have a B6 Stalogy that has tomoe river paper and I love it. It's very fountain pen friendly.
