2022 Benelli TNT135. What the H*** was I thinking! Italian Grom Killer gone wild.
Просмотров 3222 года назад
I drove to another State to find a Benelli Dealer so that I could check out a 2022 Benelli TNT135, Mini Moto. Often called the Grom Killer, the results were, well, let's say interesting. Italian designed, you know it's going to be like a piece of art work. And that it is. Absolutely beautiful can't describe this bike in person. The 135cc slanted vertical engine, is fuel injected, and rated at 1...

Kawasaki Vulcan S Helmet Lock Install & Upgrade

Vulcan S Radiator Guard Quick/Easy Install

    WHY ARE KAW SITES ON EBAY SAYING ERGO EXTENDED FOR THE VULCAN S ARE TO 2023' WHEN LOCAL DEALERS SAY ALL THE SAME THRU 2025 ? PLS CONFIRM AS MAIN DEALERS IN ASIA SAY ALL THE SAME ERGO EXTENDED SEATS UNLES USA IS GETTING DIFFERNT ?

      @frdbecker 25 дней назад

      I do believe the dealers are correct. I am not aware of any major design changes made by Kawasaki. Most manufacturers retain design features on successful bikes because of cost savings, and if it works, don't fix it. I have seen many aftermarket sellers, like those on eBay or Amazon quoting prior years of fitment because they don't update their advertising and product description. If possible ask a seller directly with questions, including their return policy. You can also contact Kawasaki directly to inquire if there have been any structural changes in a given year model. Of course Kawasaki will not be able to answer questions on non OEM aftermarket parts.

    • @frdbecker
      @frdbecker 8 месяцев назад

      No I didn't. I upgraded the air filter, and the slip-on pipes. You may find it interesting that modern ECU's are self learning, so that the fuel mixture and timing adjust for changing environments. After all bikes are sold all over the World, and climate, altitude, etc are different everywhere. I do believe if you find my video on the install of exhaust on my Royal Enfield 650, I probably explained how to 'brake-in' the new pipes. It is a process of riding each gear nice and smooth, slow to higher rpm, and coasting to a stop without using the brakes (long straight roads, with little traffic help). The process is gear 1 only, then gear 1 to 2, increase to high RPM, slowly, coast, 1-2-3, repeat, etc. The whole process takes 15-20 minutes. And when you're done there is no issues with backfiring, popping on deceleration, etc. The bike rides like this was factory installed. I love it! Ride safe! 😁

      One method people use is before loosening the bolts, slightly tighten them so you know the feel of what the factory installed them at. If you have a Harbor Freight store near you, or check them out online, they often have a sale on their torque wrenches. I think I have seen them on sale for under $15.00 US quite often. Well worth it.

These usually push inward, and twist slightly, then pull out. You can Goggle banette bulb to see what I mean. You can also find the Vulcan shop manual like many others on the web, probably as a downloadable PDF file. I don't have time right now to do that, so let me know if you figure it out or not.

    Exhaust upgrade only with no modification to the air intake makes for a sloppy running engine. Bikes always seem faster when they make more noise. Most bikes loose power when modifications are done halfway.

      Thank you for the comment. By the way I upgraded to the K&B air filter upgrade before the pipe edition addition. Currently because I could not hear my Sena device with this pipe on the bike I went back to the factory exhaust. I'm a firm believer that engineers at a place like Kawasaki get the most performance they can out of their stock exhaust systems while controlling the noise level. The cool thing is for no more than a couple copper squish washers I can switch back and forth anytime I feel the need.

And at this weight the bikes center of gravity is plenty low. Feels really light on it's feet. In fact I layed it over, it doesn't even get all the way over. Was easy to stand bak up. I even did this facing the bike. I love this bike. You would not be disappointed in it at all!

    I knew there had to be an easier way than replacing the whole cowl as I have seen done that did look great, but the cost was enormous. I upgraded from halogen to H9 LEDs on my car and the difference is remarkable. One side was so difficult to get to (and out of), it looked like I pulled my hand out of the mouth of a mountain lion. I got 6000K for the daylight whiteness, 15000LM for intensity and would probably use about the same on a bike. I haven't gotten stopped, but anything over 3000LM supposedly is not legal in my state. So, I did it anyway. They don't have a listing for Kelvin limits, so that probably doesn't matter. The people running this state probably wouldn't know what that was in the first place. I might check other bikes that come with LEDs and see what their specs are and either match it, or double it. Thank you for taking the time to share.

    I understand you saved $2300, but off what? I don't know what the MSRP is on your bike or what other costs are involved other than that, but you do, so why not tell us? Saying you saved isn't saying anything if we don't have a starting number, and then the price you paid. Nice color, I love orange. I too do not like the colors they come out with on these bikes. Not being available in black is super crazy stupid. Whoever is in charge of the color department needs to be reassigned. Note to Kawasaki: We do not buy your bikes because we like the colors - we don't. We buy them because it's the only way to ride you bikes. Take a note from Honda and their Rebels. Black, blue, red, gray; you know, real colors people like. I don't want to have to describe my bike color as, "Well, it's kinds green, but really dark and might have some blue or brown in it too." I'm like you. I will not settle on a color I don't love. I'll do without, buy used or I'll buy a different bike. I bought a new car (when it was new) so I could pick the color and I still love it. Right this minute I'm on the fence between the Vulcan S and the Rebel 500. If they made a Rebel 650, I'd get one, because that's my max (I'm a small guy, 900 won't work for me), and I think a 500 might be just a bit too small. The color is the EXACT reason I'm having a hard time making up my mind. I want the Vulcan, but I hate their colors. I will settle for black, but I'd rather have red so I can be seen on the road, plus I like the color.

      $2,300 less than a new model was the price I was able to pick my Vulcan up for when I bought it. Roughly four hundred miles on it I was extremely impressed. Apology for confusion but I am not a trained videographer and I miss a few details sometimes. I was lucky to find mine and orange color because it is beautiful and I still love it today. They made a red version the year after my Vulcan and I would be sure that you might be able to find one used for sale. As far as the rebel 500 I have owned two of them. I still have one of those in my stable. It's not a bad bike and it is a very good looker. However I would own the Vulcan over the Rebel any day if that was my choice. I'd have to say the Vulcan is twice the enjoyment that the Rebel is. Power band, top speed, comfort at highway speed, and wind is not the Rebel 500's strong points. Besides the stock tires on the Rebel are quite slippery in corners, especially when cold. I actually had to make a custom seat for my Rebel because stock it made my knees ache. My Rebel is highly modified and accessories added. I'm actually thinking of saying good bye to it next riding season. It's perfect for quick errands, a strong point. Many people actually ask me what model of Harley is it, even with the Honda Logo on the tank, LOL 🤣. It's Orange BTW, my first was yellow, first year release. Thanks again. Enjoy your ride

    The Kawasaki part is more expensive but it is part of their one key system. You put the lock together for it works with the same key that starts the bike. I have enough keys to carry I don't need another one

      That's fair. Everyone's Bike is their own Ride, and as such should be setup in the way they like it. That sounds like a great option. I personally carry a disc brake lock with alarm, and a miniature garage door opener. However I have a small tail bag that I can put many things in, and it to has a combination cable lock on it. So extra things I carry do not cause any issues for myself. I own several bikes so my system is easy to grab & go depending on which Ride I'm taking that day. In all honesty I rarely use the helmet lock but it is there when the need arises. Thanks for chiming in And ride safe!

    Would you still install this exhaust if you knew how loud it was ? I'm thinking if arrow or csracing would be a better choice , maybe a bit quieter , but they are more expensive

    • @frdbecker
      @frdbecker Год назад

      I have to admit some people really love the loudest pipes they can get. I also understand the draw to this. My huge regret is that I can't hear my Sena when the pipes are on the bike. That alone can be a deal-breaker. So I buy a few extra gaskets so I can switch it out rather quickly when I feel the urge. I do this on other bikes especially when they're just just slip-on's. Changing back and forth gives a little extra new thrill to the riding experience. One thing I won't do is try a different system unless I sell this one. At this point I'm pretty happy with my other overall modifications on the bike. One last upgrade I'm going to do is add auxiliary LED Halo lights up front (and they are not the OEM from Kawi).

      @@chrisjones9945 I never tried it. Figured on a full system that's pretty much what you're going to get. The great answer might come from a local muffler shop I would hate for you to cause too much restriction and hurt the engine. The pipes get pretty darn hot near the exhaust ports as it is.

    Hello. I'm just about to buy the same exhaust. I expect it will be louder but how loud compared to your standard Harley Davidson? Is it about the same or even more loud?

    • @frdbecker
      @frdbecker Год назад

      I'd say with the baffles installed your the same or a little louder than a stock Harley Davidson. With the baffles out it's a lot louder than a Harley Davidson. A modified Harley Davidson will be unique and sometimes extremely loud. Different sized pistons and stroke, it will be unique to the character of its components. Either way it's a much more pleasant ride. Of my nine different motorcycles this one I prefer to leave the baffles in. But they're easy to take back out anytime I want a little change of pace.

    I have the extended reach seat on mine and I believe the midseat. I absolutely hate how the bike feels with the mid seat except for the handlebars. But when I put the extended seat on, the handlebars are a tad too far away. What could I do short of getting new handlebars?

    • @frdbecker
      @frdbecker 2 года назад

      great question and thank you for leaving a comment. The handlebars are totally adjustable. Mine were too close and I felt I needed them further away. All I had to do was loosen the clamps a bit so that the handlebars could be rotated fore and aft. (If the handlebar clamps are too loose snug them slightly so as when you rotate the bars so they stay where you place them during this adjustment). I then sat on my bike trying different positions until they felt good, and rotated the front wheel/fork assembly to the extreme stops left and right, to make sure they didn't hit the tank and I still had enough clearance for good hand control. They stock bars are typically what they call mid and Long reach. So this rotating fore and aft action gives a very large range of reach differences. I actually feel that the range of adjustment is quite large. I prefer not to change handlebars to a different set very often because of the hassles with removing and gluing grips, wiring issues, etc. Let alone the added cost because handlebars are fairly pricey. I actually went ahead and purchased a traditional Corbin seat, having it built to my own specifications by adding a little extra height to the foam and deleting the port that accepts the optional back rest which I would never want. I'll probably make a video on this upgrade someday soon. I hope my explanation helps out. Let me know how it goes and I thank you again for chiming in. Ride safe and enjoy your ride.
