Picking the ABUS Iron Rock

Picking my new ABUS The Iron Rock padlock. In the unboxing video, when I put the core back in I tightened a little to much. I got the key to turn and lock open to fix it though.

The mess I have to clean before starting to do videos again. Also have to print a video card so my videos don't get stolen again. One reason I stopped doing videos is the owner of lockpick company in UK used one of my review videos as his own.
(10)Factory Taylor challenge lock
Просмотров 458 лет назад
A customer's lock that was a real challenge. From the factory, 5 spools and two ball bearings. I got my pick stuck a few times between the second ball bearing and it's upper pin.
(9) Defiant Challenge Lock

A Defiant Deadbolt I tore down to see why it rattled. Decided to make it a Challenge Lock.
(8) Brink's DB pick
Просмотров 508 лет назад
Made this for a locksmith group, a member was saying Brink's deadbolts couldn't be bumped or picked. I didn't bump it but it sure did pick TWICE.

Have you tried this non-destructive technique by Legend Of The Samurai? It's pretty cool. I'm going to try it. So I got the gauge and began drawing up the plans for the jig: ruclips.net/video/q2zWO3x1Jd0/видео.htmlsi=vN_OTPswBMwUuaJu
I knew there was a method to manipulate them but never saw it done. I happen to discover my way, which has been done before I did it, way back in late 1990's. I even sent in as a techintip to The National Locksmith. The tip was published in the magazine and in The Ultimate Technitips Collection Vol 2. Seeing how the jig is done, I can see how these would vibrate open when used on aircraft like they were.
That last lock in pieces. The 'spools' are called gin pins. They can be very tricky to pick when the plug has the matching milling. The head of the gin pins, the spooled part, should be next to the keypins, not the springs. It's a very serious lock, rated black I believe if you follow the Lpu belt system
Just not sure so said spools. All were upside down than and am wondering if the other 3 I have are like that too.
I love the looks of that magnetic handle.
you can get the handles and much more at 44delta.com/ I was hoping the Sparrows pick but they won't without modification. The Southord fit great though.
That looks like a typical ABUS bitting. Well done!
Beautiful lock! Wonder if I can still get one..
Nicely done!
Very nice. I just got mine, haven't had time to pick it yet.
Right on man I’m definitely going to order me the sandman! Great video!
cheers mate just broke into my neighbours shed
Maybe turn off your generator unless that's what's powering your camera and computer..sorry bro.
You film this in your car?
I filmed it in back of my van
Cool 😎 thanks for showing love the one sandman of our favourite picks
nice
Nice pins. That ought to be a nice challenge. 'Jimsiss' on the uklocksport forum makes and sells 3d printed pinning trays and followers. You would have PM him via the forum as he doesn't have a website.
I'm not a member so i have no way to connect him
Hey if you made a key for that Lockwood it would be awesome to see it in action and to see it picked.
I'm sorry, I meant that old unbranded lock
The sandman pick works wonders on medico locks, I pulse my tention and all the medicos we use on our vending machines at work open with in seconds, it was a time saver instead of drilling out the locks
Those are Medeco cam locks John. They don't have a sidebar but the pins do need to be rotated I believe.
+rallock67 they do need to be rotated to the correct angle, but do not have the side bar. If they did we would of had a long day drilling them out
awsome locks .i would love a shot to pick one of those on camera.
nice locks hope to pick 1 sometime but hard to find here in States
BTW: YES, as U said in this Video, The Sparrows Sandman is Available from Sparrows all by itself: $5.95 USD / www.sparrowslockpicks.com/product_p/sand.htm
Hey Buddy.... DrDave from Vegas, SANDMAN Creator.... THANX For the Videos on the new Sparrows Sandman & Octo Rakes.... I made the Sandman Decades ago (Mid '80's), for Bitting with Deep cuts in front of High Cuts.... When used with the Hole-Up, and your technique, U will find "OPEN after OPEN" that MOST other picks simply will NOT "OPEN". When I first made the Sandman, Bogatas, other than my home-made similar ones, were not widely available. I would sell + Trade my designs with a guy at the SOF conventions here in Vegas every year. REMEMBER: Lock-Picks were VERY DIFFICULT to 'Buy' unless U were a licensed Locksmith OR LEO !!!! I developed a few Friends that were LEO's + Locksmiths and I traded-out my first Southord 64-Set when I fixed the Locksmiths' TV(s)... I was in Heaven..... U will find that BOTH The Sandman & Octo-Rake are a Very Nice EDC.... Thanx again & Happy Picking !!!! Dave......
The Sandman and Octorake are part of my primary pick set. Very underrated picks.
I have been using them more too Blaculo
PCR - PersonalComputerRepair I have found using your picks to be fantastic with practice. I've managed to open a few that I couldn't open with anything else! Thanks my man!!!!
That's cool bud, I gave this a like. You have some nice vids, been watching them a bit. How long have you been doing the RUclips thing? I do vlogs myself, I've been doing some new stuff. I had to move my channel, if you want you can check it out here: ruclips.net/user/M3GreatRiffs

+Zombie Lock sent you email
I see you won a challenge lock from lock lab. Ive been trying to find challenge locks to buy and I can't seem to find any. Could I buy it or be part of the chain after your done with it.... my email bac12476@aol.com ... I repined a lock with home made pins its very difficult to open ive only got it once without looking at the cut out . i offered to it lock lab he didnt want it id like to find some guys to trade with ....
+ben “bac12476” c I haven't received the lock yet so I don't know what all the instructions are as far as who it goes to next. I may have it longer if I can't get blanks to make a key. I also am getting eye surgery done soon so have to factor that in also
HI.... DrDaveUSA, SPARROWS Sandman Creator...... The Sandman was created way back in the 1980's for DEEP-Cut pins (2-3 of them) in front of shallow-cut pin(s) toward the back of the cylinder.... The first key you showed also qualifies as a Sandman quick-open if you place the "Valley / Hole" UP.... Then simply add a bit of tension and jiggle-out...... Good job, Nice video... THANX For the "Thumbs-Up" on the Sandman and the Sparrows Octo-Rake.... From Las Vegas, DrDave..... Clear......
+DrDave Lock Picks I really like your pick DrDave, I have yet to pick a Schlage with it but it kills Kwiksets. It works very well with my picking style.I would use it more if it had a regular handle instead of the "tongue depress" handle.
nice one Rodger.
+Jeff Moss Hey Jeff.... Really like your UTube channel !!!!! DrDave......
If you don't have anyone else wanting the locks, send it to me. Thanks
Looks good!
