This was filming for an F1 movie starring Brad Pitt. He explained in an interview with Martin Brundle that the engine failures and mistakes done on the track are intentional and part of the movie.

That's a Jordan 195 if I'm not mistaken (you can see it from the Peugeot logo on the engine cover), fortunately it didn't turned out like Diniz's 1996 Liger.

Great video. I live in Whitley Bay, about 10 miles east of Newcastle on the coast, so Newcastle is my closest main station. If you ever visit again, try going to Manors Station, about a mile from the main Central Station. Manors is a totally unmanned station, so is great for train spotting / filming .. just remember to bring a flask of coffee. Good luck with your RUclips channel

Really nice collection. Contempory with my collection from the 1960s. Sadly was persuaded to gift mine to a younger relative as I got to my teens and developed more of an interest in girls rather than toy cars. Many of those in your collection were models I owned, so I now have started collecting again. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video. My wife and I are travelling up the ECML from Newcastle to Edinburgh in a few weeks .. we are looking forward to the trip and the lovely coastal scenery. Did you buy individual tickets for your trips, or can you get some sort of weekly ticket ?

That Collection of Old Train Sets Would Be Worth A Lot of Money These Days.

My wife and I are planning on short break to Glasgow, from Newcastle in May, but unfortunately tickets are still not available to book. However, a friend suggested we look into travelling via Carlisle then up the WCML to Glasgow, rather than the more obvious ECML to Edinburgh route. Wowzer! I thought .. what a brilliant idea .. perhaps going via Edinburgh but returning via Carlisle, giving us the opportunity of seeing different scenery and even trying different train companies. We actually used LNER in November for a trip to London (or first train journey for 20+ years) and have already booked another trip to Edinburgh for march (again LNER) On the ECML there is the Lumo train as well as Trans Pennine Express to perhaps try and Avanti on the WCML. Yes, there’s ScotRail too, but I prefer the fancy trains How do you rate the various companies mentioned and as far a scenery is concerned, would the Carlise WCML version warrant the extra £20 cost. (extra cost for two, based on 2nd class tickets in April) Regards !

Very nice collection, I like the toys with some small damage so you can see that they have been used for what they were made for, only thing missing is the big smile from youre uncle when he shows his toys. :)
