I am a jazz head and I’m so excited that I’m going on my 1st smooth jazz cruise in February! My dad went almost every year! He passed away a couple of years ago. when I get on the ship, I’m going to say, daddy, I’m finally here!! ❤️❤️

You showed most the cabins except for the vista suite ( the ocean window). Did they upgrade this cabin the same as the others regarding the bathroom and the closet? I saw an old video that had the old wood layout.

I just took my first Holland America cruise and have sailed many times with Celebrity. I don’t so sided then in the same league at all- Celebrity is a class act with great shows which is sorely missing on 26:42 Holland America. I think the food is much better on Celebrity too. Just my 2 cents- it was cheaper to book a similar cruise in Holland

Beautiful coverage of the ships. Might I ask about some specifics regarding the Ponant cuisine. Do they account for vegan, non-gluten dining? Do they serve Non-GMO food, and, ideally, organic produce? Thanks!

Great review! Thank you! My sister and I are thinking about taking the Scenic to the Rhine River in March 2025. We each want our own stateroom therefore we cannot afford a balcony and the bigger rooms in order to stay below $6000. We got staterooms class E. Are they very dreadful? We picked the Scenic vs. Viking for slightly better iternerary and the fact that it is all inclusive.

I've been looking at another tour company's Nile cruises, but I'll look at Ama now. As far as the camel ride, I'll skip that and use Photoshop if I want a photo, 😂. I've ridden camels in Australia and Mongolia, and the experience is overrated. Been elsewhere, done that! Thanks for the video.

I didn't order the gumboots, water pants, stick on time, ship to shore has cancelled the order. Can I rent it on the ship? Sailing on the Silver Wind December 8 from Santiago, Peurto Williams. Any suggestions.

I’ve been on four Uniworld river cruises and loved them all. Leaving for my fifth one in a couple of weeks. Uniworld’s customer service is absolutely outstanding. Their ships are luxurious and tailored to the region in which they’re sailing.

Again, so incredibly helpful! I just love your format. Never a hollow thing but a short time-frame, stuffed with precise, awesome information.

Just a hour from Halifax is a area famous for its wines

Went on a Uniworld Danube cruise in June 2024. It is Not all inclusive- we were told that-contrary to expectations- we were expected to tip the bus drivers! As the river was flooded, we were bussed to our initial destinations, so lots of bus drivers to tip! Additionally, I got Covid from one of the passengers as we were departing on the bus to the airport- she was given a mask, but not tested. I tested when I got home and tested positive. After complaining to Uniworld, they offered us $1000 off our next cruise if we booked by December 2024, which I thought was pretty paltry.

Why is t that these so-called u;tra luxury cruises can run at only 50% capacity and even less and yet still operate does that not tell you that they are way overpriced surely that is obvious?

For those stopping in Sydney, do an excursion to Fort Louisburg for history lovers or a bus excursion of the Cabot Trail for nature and scenery fans. The Cabot Trail is one of the most scenic drives in Eastern Canada, and will be spectacular if it matches with peak fall foliage. There is some dramatic coastal scenery on this drive, fall foliage or not.

Traveled on the Rotterdam. The food and Music Walk were terrific.

My HAL on-board spending refunds (which I have on almost every cruise) come as a credit to the credit card tied to the on-board spending. Generally, the refund arrives by the day after I debark. It's been totally seamless so far!

We did a cruise with Viking and had to walk through one of the Ama ships to board at one of the ports. The Ama crew was always very nice to us as we went through and I realized - that’s not a bad form of advertising! I bet they’d hand out champagne or something but there’s probably a rule against it!

I'm a long-time cruiser who happens to hold stock in order to get on board credit. However, on my last cruise with them a few months ago to Canada-New England, they failed to provide it. After hours of effort, calls, and emails, they still haven't responded and made things right. The cruise itself was wonderful, but its customer service off the ship is not the greatest.

On an Alaska cruise with HAL this past September. Because of bad weather, we were unable to moor at Skagway. Very impressed with HAL keeping us informed on what was going on, and were able to switch to Icy Straight Point that morning, and even provided a short list of shore excursions that we could take if desired. Awesome customer service!

Spent 14 days on the HAL Nieuw Amsterdam sandwiched between an Alaskan cruise on Celebrity Solstice and a repo cruise from Vancouver to Honolulu on Solstice. I think you analysis was pretty accurate Comments: 1) In Alaska, HAL has the better itineraries and the smaller ship with a full promenade deck is probably the better set up. 2) The September crowd on both ships skewed very old. Also, I saw MORE people who needed assistance on BOTH ships even though the seas are rougher than most cruises. I caught two people from falling. 3) The service on HAL was a lot better overall both in the MDR and the buffet. The Solstice buffet was so stressful as the seating are is so crowded. What is great about the NA is that you get your food, sit down quickly, and the staff brings you a beverage. 4) Entertainment was a lot better on Solstice but the enrichment programs on HAL were superior.

The biggest river cruise company is CroisiEurope with 44 boats - and half the price., No mention of them????? The companies you mention are wall to wall with Americans and Australians - not a European in sight. Sort of stay at home while visiting Europe holidays. Steering people towards the most expensive river cruises ain't that great when there are much cheaper options that are just as good.
