Generally it's hard but it's possible to fix the speaker. But if you can contact your seller and you have a garantee it's much easier to replace the set. In my case I bought it on eBay from USA to Russia. And it was cheaper and faster to try fix it by yourself. (Postage costs were about 120$ to ship speakers to seller and ship the new one set back to me. And it could take about 2 more months.) Hope it was useful. And sorry for my not very good English.

So what I did. Using a little flat screw driver and shoving it between the housing and cover I tore off the glue and then rotated the cover a little bit (approx. 3-4 mm = 1/8 - 1/6 in.). After that you can remove the cover. 3. You'll found a plate with capacitors and all that other electric stuff inside the housing. But this plate is under the layer of special elecric compound (for waterproof), and you should remove it first.

Yes. I know. It's me on the video. Later I disassembled the speaker and fixed the problem. How to disassemble: 1. Unscrew all the bolts that you can unscrew. 2. Generally speaker consists of 2 parts: housing and diaphragm cover. Both of them are made of not bad chinese metal. You SHOULD BE AWARE of touching the diaphragm by itself. It's easy to pierce it through. That cover is glued to housing. Moreover it's "screwed" to housing: there are 3 pins on housing and 3 grooves in cover.

Yes, we solved the problem. We found that one of the wires was sealed-off inside the speaker.

i have the same problem..would be interested in buying the speaker that has the light on it. mine that has the volume control is working
