Their show is entitled The Bad Color. This is Central's second round performance at the Louisiana Showcase of marching bands championship. They took reserved grand champion in the competition. They worked very hard this season and this is a show to remember. Great job everyone on such a successful season.

This song takes my ears for a ride I love it
I love the jonkler show
One of my favorite shows by central. This one and Bizarre Bazaar and my top picks
This performance was insane considering it was 24 degrees at this point and with a wind chill it felt like 16. Along with the 20 mph wind, this was a very talented performance even in extreme conditions!
Real I had 2 layers of clothes and a blanket while watching the show and I was still cold
BRO I FORGOT ABOUT 2018, my brother was in the band at the time, HOW dis they get 10th place, this is the 1st place performance bro 💀
6:56 THEY DID THE FORTNITE!!!!
Proud to see my show from my freshman year! Go CL Trumpets. Can’t wait to do it one more time this year! Wish showcase was still 2 runs though
y’all doing why so serious?
Very hard to beat Central lafourche we took the win my freshman year also
Damn those tubas on that last note 💪
Lol I was in this show
Same
so they counted evan lapeyrouse as a assistant?
Congratulations to CLHS Trojan Lancer Band! They all worked SUPER HARD and I'm SUPER PROUD of all of them! NEXT...Disney World Magic Kingdom!
Carolina crown time
As a former LHS parent and longtime supporter of the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands, I congratulate CLHS for their historic win. Being a firm believer in the art/sport aspect of the activity and knowing that having just one program performing at a high level only stagnates progress, I am glad to see this happen. There can only be good that comes from a healthy and vibrant competition. To those who would say unkind things towards any program in the state, I would personally ask you to refrain. It would also be pretty cool if every that has already made derogatory remarks if they would delete them. I will also remind you that these kind of remarks can get your school uninvited per the new harassment rules put in place a few years ago. Finally, if you would like to see all things Marching Band in Louisianna, may I invite you to my channel where you will find over a decade of Showcase history. Again, gratz to CLHS.
did you record showcase last season? ive been waiting and nothing ever got uploaded. just wondering
great job guys!
Beautiful show. Congrats Grand Champions.
Houston Akridge thank you
reminder to EVERYONE on this thread: what we do as members of a marching band is create art! we work and work to create a product to be proud of! in the end, the competition is not even the best part. being bitter about results does NO ONE any good. LHS, CLHS, every school in the top 10 worked extremely hard to have a good season! the youtube comment section is not he place for your grievances. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL.
Wholesome comment. Thank you for making me smile
Hi. I’m a band student from LHS, in fact I was the xylophone player and a section leader of the pit for this year. I want to properly congratulate CL for their good win. Y’all sounded great. But a message for all bands watching this; it’s not all about the competition. Showcase is meant to bring the bands from all over Louisiana together in one spot and show everyone their hard work. It breaks my heart to see people insulting one another over something that was meant to be a beautiful event. Lafayette high has their full support behind any band who has stepped up to the bar, and if anyone tells you differently then they don’t know what they’re talking about. Fight on, Central!
Minoru Vesper Wise beyond your years. We all feel the same. Love to all bands/musicians for your hard work and dedication to the arts!
I was just here to listen to the other bands play while playing some games (nice music btw) and I didn't expect to see you write this Zach, I'm late though. But I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that wasn't salty over getting second place. Looking forward to next year's competitions.
Why don't we have such wholesome comments like yours in other comment sections cause there's always someone that's salty about something and has a negative thing to say but hey thank you for bringing a smile to my face with that wholesome comment!

we worked really hard on our show, as did CL and their show is beautiful i love the music, they worked hard and got a deserved first place, us at lhs accept that
ight, so this was a great show btw. definitely deserving of grand champion...but what's the title of the music for the ballad??? was really diggin' that.
Ava Breedlove my immortal by evanescence
so guys we did it
no better feeling than taking it all home💛 congrats to ALL performing bands on a successful season!
I’m so proud of our run. A couple little mess ups, but overall I’m proud to have called that our finals run. Can’t wait to get the dvd and save this wonderful memory. ❤️
Too bad band is the only thing CL is good at😂
Cameron M. Not according to our overall school grade 🤷🏻♀️
Cameron M. You obviously know very little about our school!
Cameron I am from the rival school of Central and even I know that they have accomplished and will accomplish more than you give them credit for. The Trojon Lancer Band is just one small piece of the puzzle for their successful school. Congrats guys. SL Euphonium Player #LowBrassForLife

Big Boy no, Lhs didn’t “go down” central just went up. this was an amazing show and they definitely deserved it
Finally, the end of an era. A new champ
@@kylikeller they definitely went down. Mid 90s to 80s
куlι кєllєя central went up lhs went down. Same thing lol
Big Boy LHS is very proud of your win. We supported you guys every competition and we will continue to do. We see you guys as equals and nothing less. Do not add insult to injury whenever we’ve supported CL 100% of the way
This was my first showcase and we got Grand Champions on this run.
we really did that 💚💛
GRAND CHAMPS BABY
Hello to all of you fans of the Ellender High School Marching Band. Do any of you have some videos of the Ellender High School Marching Band for the years of 1996-2005. If yes and if you don't mind, post them within RUclips so that I and some other fans can watch them. Thank you, very much, and in advance.
I was so close to liking this more than my bands, until they did fortnite dances. Just why 😂
Martin Faut you have our choreographer to thank for that 😂
south is known for weird and strange things😂
I performed here! So sad we got 10th but we'll be trying extra hard this year.
Galaxy best of luck this season!! we have great competition this year among all the bands :)
I miss this :(
do you have thibodaux?
Great show !!
Clean drumline 😍
BEST BAND AROUND 🤪🤪🤪😍😍
Woot, ill be goin there next year, look out for kolbi rivet on trumpet
why must you do this cringe?
I'm so proud of us . But who cares about what everyone else thinks ! We know the truth and I think it's very disrespectful that other bands/people would think that we would just steal other bands show. You should be ashamed of your selfs.
Yes it does matter if they copied an entire show because the people who wrote this show originally were not paid for their arrangements.
they copied Boston Crusaders 2013...
no, not many places. literally the entire show is the exactly the same except for the first minute or so. watch this and see for yourself. www.dailymotion.com/video/x14isin_2013-boston-crusaders_creation
Zoiguana Doesn't really matter if they copied them or not. Many people get inspiration from certain things or just buy music and drill from websites. People are bound to get the same shows and what not. A lot of people do the Planets show of Mars, Jupiter, and Venus. But yeah. I see the relation.
Brandon Sampey You see the relation..? Like the entire show? The planets is one thing but taking every arrangement of a show and putting it in your own show its complete plagerism
SpaceKKadet I agree with others...it is obvious that they did a musical rip off of Rise. That being said, I don't know how much original music they took, and if they did hopefully they paid for it. You can't copyright a copyright....so if this band paid to have How To Train Your Dragon, Radiohead, and Inception arranged there isn't much ground to stand on, especially sine the arrangement involves woodwinds. I'm actually impressed that a high school band could even come close to pulling this off. Like this concept more than Rise as well! Kudos to this band!
This is why music is an outstanding thing. It can be interpreted in many different ways. The boston crusaders took these musical pieces and put it into a war kind of theme. This high school saw something else, so they projected it as colors. Another thing. How can you be mad at these high school kids? They have no control over the musical selection. If anything you should be upset at the band directors, but I'm sure they paid for the band arrangements. Also, why complain that a highschool is doing a DCI show? If anything, that would impress me!
After seeing what you guys achieved and what was played/marched I cannot at all agree with the placements. I do think Lafayette was wonderful but they did not do near as much with the field, music, or concept. I think you guys should do more and more boa shows and really feel out where you fit in that. It was a beautiful show and very well performed. I also state this not to diminish the wonderful job the Lafayette kids did but to state the artistry displayed by this truly exceptional group.
We did A LOT on the field, if you watched our show, it was mostly woodwinds who had more visuals, but overall I think we fair and square earned our title like we have in the past. I understand the amount of blood, sweat and tears you put in to make this show. I just think our show just had that extra push, extra ummphff, and that overall 'emotional appeal', if you ask me. I watched this show, it was great. Loved that circle visual where everyone faces into the middle of the field.
I agree that Central Lafourche did a splendid job at performing such a great show. The amount of work that went into that show must have been legendary. Although after seeing both Lafayette and Central Lafourche perform, I do not agree that either deserved to win more than the other. Having talked to so many wonderful people from other band in events like bandboree and showcase, you can obviously see how hard each and every band works. In the end it isn't about winning, it's about doing your best. Being a member of lafayette high has taught me so much about music and my self, but mostly my respect to other bands. I can't wait for the day when Central Lafourche competes in a BOA event, because they are certainly a top notch band.
This was a beautiful show, however, at a BOA event such as a Regional and / or Grand National competition, this show would not have finished with the Top Groups.
It's amazing to see how far that band has come since we graduated. The drill was clean and the playing was truly mature. These kids have a lot to be proud of.
