      Hi jorgepedraza1275, ✅ There are several ways to return a dataset from a web API to a .NET application: Here's an example // In your web API controller method: [HttpGet] public IActionResult GetDataset() { // Get your dataset var dataset = GetYourDataset(); // Serialize the dataset to JSON var json = JsonConvert.SerializeObject(dataset); // Return the JSON as a response return Ok(json); } // In your .NET application: using Newtonsoft.Json; // ... var httpClient = new HttpClient(); var response = await httpClient.GetAsync("your-api-url/dataset"); if (response.IsSuccessStatusCode) { var json = await response.Content.ReadAsStringAsync(); var dataset = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject<YourDatasetType>(json); } ======================= 💟 If you like this videos, please click on the THUMBS UP and Subscribe for more such videos👍. can we disable to inbuilt transaction that wraps the calls?

    • @TechWebDots
      @TechWebDots 2 месяца назад

      Hi srinivaasansundar7406, ✅ You can do that in multiple ways. 1. Set UseTransaction to false: You can set the UseTransaction property of the DbContextOptions to false to prevent the DbContext from creating a transaction. var optionsBuilder = new DbContextOptionsBuilder<MyDbContext>(); optionsBuilder.UseSqlServer("YourConnectionString") .UseLazyLoadingProxies() .UseTransaction(false); using (var context = new MyDbContext(optionsBuilder.Options)) { // ... do your work without a transaction } 2.Use a Transaction Scope with a TransactionScopeOption.Suppress: You can use a TransactionScope with the TransactionScopeOption.Suppress option to disable the IDbContextTransaction and use the ambient transaction instead. using (var transactionScope = new TransactionScope(TransactionScopeOption.Suppress)) { using (var context = new MyDbContext()) { // ... do your work within the ambient transaction } transactionScope.Complete(); } ================= If you like this videos, please click on the THUMBS UP and Subscribe for more such videos👍. you didn't demonstrate how the unit of work is actually benefiting. for instance if one of the tasks failed, how it roll backs.

    • @TechWebDots
      @TechWebDots 3 месяца назад

      Hi AdnanSami-jp1en, Thanks for the question, I will try to cover this in the next practical session of the same; But meanwhile, let me give you a brief about your ask- ✅When the Unit of Work starts, it opens a transaction. ✅As different operations (like insert, update, or delete) are performed, these changes are tracked by the Unit of Work.If any of the operations fail (due to any reason), an exception is usually thrown. ✅Upon catching the exception, the Unit of Work triggers a rollback, which undoes all changes made within that transaction, ensuring the database remains in its previous consistent state. ✅After either committing or rolling back, the transaction is closed. Hope it helps!

    As per Microsoft recommendation we need enable https option for Azure function app. Will it be any impact on http trigger ?

    • @TechWebDots
      @TechWebDots 5 месяцев назад

      Hi vaibhavwadhai8046, There will be no impact on the http trigger functionality. Some key pointers you should think Enable HTTPS: Improves security without affecting the functionality of HTTP triggers. Redirect HTTP to HTTPS: Configure redirection to ensure all traffic uses HTTPS. Update Clients: Ensure clients use in their URLs. No Code Changes Required: Existing functions and triggers continue to work without modification. Enabling HTTPS for your Azure Function App is a crucial step in securing your applications and ensuring that data is transmitted securely over the network. Hope my answer useful. Happy Learning! Can you explain this line: HttpContext _httpContext => new HttpContextAccessor().HttpContext() ? Is _httpContext a property or a field?

    • @TechWebDots
      @TechWebDots 5 месяцев назад

      Hi AL-kn4yx, In C#, the line HttpContext _httpContext => new HttpContextAccessor().HttpContext defines a read-only property. Here's a detailed explanation: Explanation of the Lines ---------------------------------------------------- HttpContext _httpContext: This part declares the property. It specifies that the property type is HttpContext. => new HttpContextAccessor().HttpContext: The => symbol denotes an expression-bodied member. This means that the property is implemented with a single expression. new HttpContextAccessor().HttpContext creates a new instance of HttpContextAccessor and returns its HttpContext property. This approach is often used to simplify property declarations and make the code more concise, particularly when the property logic is straightforward. ---------------------------------------------------- Understanding Properties and Fields Properties in C# are members that provide a flexible mechanism to read, write, or compute the values of private fields. They are typically used to encapsulate a field and are accessed like fields but behave like methods. Fields are variables of a class. Fields can be public, private, or protected, and they store the actual data of the class. Happy Learning! TechWebDots!

    Quick Question: Can we create Durable functions in 'Consumption Plan'?

    • @TechWebDots
      @TechWebDots 5 месяцев назад

      Hi jaysinha9715, YES, 100%! Here are the key points to consider, Hosting Plans for Azure Durable Functions Consumption Plan: --------------------------- 1.Supports Durable Functions: Yes, you can run Durable Functions in the Consumption Plan. 2.Billing: You are billed based on the number of executions, execution time, and memory consumption. The Consumption Plan is cost-effective for low to moderate usage scenarios. 3.Cold Start: Functions may experience cold starts, leading to latency when the function app has been idle for a while. 4.Resource Constraints: The Consumption Plan has certain limits on resource usage, such as memory, CPU, and execution timeout (maximum 5 minutes by default, but can be extended to 10 minutes).
