Just a tip: there is a tiny membrane on the side of scallops that is actually supposed to be removed. The part that tends to curl when cooked is actually the muscle that attaches the scallop to the shell, when they’re raw you can just pluck them off and it will make sure the scallop itself isn’t tough or chewy.
Yucky steamed scallops. Try screaming hot pan with a touch of high smoke point oil. Lay down clockwise until they release themselves and flip in clockwise order. Add a little knob of butter and you will have a hard sear and the browned butter adds to color. Plate onto a prepared sauce or whatever else. Don’t steam your scallops like this with other ingredients please you’re ruining them.
Omg and take the feet off I just noticed you didnt take the feet off. Just leave the kitchen all together back to square one its just cereal and milk for you from now on.

Good recipe but it's such a pain in the ass now to convert this into metric system. I get rly weird numbers. Only USA and partly UK are still using imperial system.
⅓ cup warm water = 80 mL ½ cup warm milk = 120 mL 1 tablespoon active dry yeast = 9 grams 2 tablespoons sugar = 25 grams 2 tablespoons vegetable oil = 30 mL 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour = 300 grams ½ teaspoon baking powder = 2 grams ¼ teaspoon salt = 1.5 grams
