Most Powerful Rocket Engine in Canada | Starsailor Flight Duration Hotfire Test | Drone View
After six years of relentless effort, Space Concordia’s Rocketry Division has successfully completed the first-ever full flight duration test of Starsailor’s Stewart rocket engine. This milestone establishes the Stewart engine as the most powerful student-developed rocket engine globally and Canada’s most powerful active rocket engine.
This test also breaks the world academic impulse record, clocking in at 1 Meganewton-seconds (1 million Newton-seconds).
With this critical test complete, the team is gearing up for the final phase of the project - integrated cryo testing. This phase will prove out the rockets plumbing, avionics, and ground support equipment ahead of the rocket’s inaugural la...

Somebody screaming mid-way. ❤ Awesome bunch of Engineers. Kudos from another part of the world.

OK, you can't just show this incredible video, with this amazing news, and just leave it at that!!!! Y'all should make a piece telling us about the student program, what it's all about, tell us about the students, the professors, what you've accomplished and where you're going with it. Surely you'd want to tell us about yourselves as a group, wouldn't you?
fire kabommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I truly wish this subject matter was understood more by the masses. If only we could collectively find a way to gather more widespread interest. Or maybe the issue isn't with the appeal of rocket science, the masses are interested. Yet there are very groups publicly building said types of equipment, its damn sure not a cheap hobby. Either way congratulations for your monumental achievement! 35kN is outstanding keep it up and post as many videos as possible. Id bet if you started posting a video a week even if you think its just boring numbers etc etc. I'm willing to bed your following would jump exponentially, just from once a week 15min video update on what your working on, and the students doing said work. Then other teams around the world could see an example and start doing the same. Creating funding, interested in your school or specific program, sponsorships, and resources. Just my opinion im very passionate about Rocketry id love to see more interest into the subject and in turn more options for regular people to learn and watch you guys and gals design, build and launch incredibly complex and difficult machines.
Excellent work! You have all made a great achievement. I look forward to the next post of the opportunity.
Bravo........should put corn on stick......or marshmallow on a stick.....cheers
Space eh!🍁
On your way to getting your first moose in space 🫡
Amazing!!!
wow go go guys 👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏👍👍
It's a million degrees but still cool as shit 🔥
Congratulations on the test. Its nice to see Canada getting involved in spaceflight
siuuuuu
Hot stuff!
For the rocket!!!

FOR THE ROCKET 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Sick! What's the thrust of the engine? Also flight profile - what does it throttle down to at 00:18 and why? Thermals or because of planned flight profile?
Stewart go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR 🚀🚀🚀
Ftr 🚀🚀🔥
This is awesome! Great work guys. Can't wait to see it fly!
🔥🔥🚒
💪🏾 🚀 for the rocket!
Whoever shouted FIRE understood the assignment
mr bones is g o n e
How many km would that rocket fly?
Can you show the skeleton after it got blasted away? (If you ever found it again.)
love that "FIRE"
I think I found the real world equivalent of the RockoMax 24-77 engine from Kerbal Space Program - same thrust, probably the same size. Nicely done!
You hope it is secured well enough to stay mounted. That is an emergency if it shears free, holy shit, what force!
a student built that? or no?
Need to install that to the car, when cops comes behind, start the rocket... It's not about speed.

Damn!! That looks like a Space-Shot Engine ✨ (karman line is calling) 🔥
You get like 1 frame of Mr. Skeleton being vaporized
It looks great
Biblically accurate shrimp booster
I always wondered what made the Earth spin
Thousandth subscriber! Loved how the skeleton got obliterated by the launch LOL
Do you have an estimate of how much it would cost to build this for recreational purposes? My initial estimate is $5,000, but I'm concerned that the expenses might increase significantly.
